Five-Star Hotels in Haputale

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had!! Stayed here for two nights and it was the highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is absolutely amazing. Beautifully decorated with lovely views and peaceful surroundings with many birds to see. They had recently had some wildfires nearby so apparently in normal times you can see even more wildlife than what I saw during my stay. There is also a stunning waterfall nearby (almost in the hotel grounds) that the staff take you to and that you can have completely to yourself or perhaps with a couple of locals. I also did a hike with the staff up to the mountain behind the hotel which was great. Then afternoons spent lazing in the pool, chatting to the staff and with complimentary High Tea as I watched the mist float through the mountains. There were no mosquitos in that area too which meant that they could have the large windows open (even at night!) with one whole side of the hotel open to the fresh air and views. There are only two rooms in the hotel, though they have plans to build another couple of buildings in the future (though also with a very secluded feel). I was the only one there during my stay which meant I had the whole place to myself 😍 The best thing about Capoe though is the staff. Isham, Eranda, the wonderful chef and the gardener who guided the hikes. They were all so friendly and attentive and really made my stay, especially as I was a solo traveller and they were very friendly and chatty (though also give you your space when you need it). I've never had a private butler before, let alone one that is trained in both wildlife spotting and making cocktails! Dream cliff is a hidden sicker place where you can rest from rest of the world. Really special place.thanks for everything!

The service was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. Everyone was extremely attentive and took the utmost care of us. The food is another big topic: it was exceptionally good, so I would highly recommend having lunch and dinner, even when it’s not included in the fare. Lastly, the location and the view were simply stunning. From the hotel itself you can explore the tea plantations without any other tourists (unlike in other tourist hotspots). Moreover, some of the hotel employees may join you on hike and show you some nice trails.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.

We stayed in the presidential suite at Andriyala for 3D2N on our honeymoon. It was definitely a highlight of our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. The room itself was beautiful and newly renovated, with a private pool, deck, and hammock overlooking the countryside. The views are absolutely stunning. You will wake up and sleep to sweeping views of the Sri Lankan tea country. The service was also fantastic. Every meal was served to us private dining style on our deck. Make sure you have dinner while the sun is setting; it's absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay; they organised a scooter as well as a repair service when one of our bags tore. Overall, the presidential suite at Andriyala is a 5 star experience and fantastic value for money. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautifully located. Modern. Close to nearby town and sight seeing yet far enough for it to be tranquil

Delicious food, excellent pool and great activities. Stunning views all over and very comfortable rooms.

Nine Skies is the definition of boutique luxury. It is a small hotel with only 5 rooms and the service we received from all the staff was truly so personable this really felt like a home away from home. The design of the whole hotel is beautiful with a wonderful living room, with a cosy fire in the evenings, and our suite room was beautiful with a terrace. The pool has an amazing view over the tea plantation. All the meals we had were delicious. Our host was very friendly and helpful, organising day trips for us and setting up our own table with lots of candles for dinner by the pool one evening, and also set up our own private breakfast at a look out point which were both lovely experiences. This hotel is brilliant if you want a very quiet, secluded spot in the Hill Country with excellent service and food. It is an expensive hotel but it is worth the money.

We got stranded in the jungle with the owners during Ditwah cyclone and they have not thrown us out, but instead took care of us and ensured we remain safe by allowing us to extend our stay for additional 3 nights. They are ready to help with anything you might need. - We have stayed in the wooden cottage and the views are beautiful. - The size of the cottage is spacious. - The hotel is not in Ella city center but the host offers tuk tuk service to take and pick you up whenever necessary (ca. 5min to get there) - The breakfast includes toast, jam, butter, fresh local fruits they have grown themselves, pancakes, jogurt, coffee/tea.

Amazing new place with beautiful villas and stunning view over tea plantations from every villa. The villas are well decorated and equipped inside, the territory is very well maintained, the food is amazing - the best we had in SriLanka over 2 weeks.
