United StatesI cannot recommend this place enough! I had such a great stay here. The property is beautiful: the rooms are cute, comfortable, and clean. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is delicious and included tea or coffee, fresh juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs your way, and toast with butter and jam. The pool is clean and, somehow, despite the heat, the water remains refreshing. The location is in a quiet place (aside from a train track but the trains only last a few seconds and did not affect my stay at all), yet near to restaurants and bars and salons and tour agencies and souvenir shops. Amazing place! Would definitely stay again!

The staff are lovely, and do everything with such care: everything from the welcome drink during the check-in, to the constant care and attention with food, logistics, and everything. We told them we were celebrating a special night for our graduation, and they gave us the loveliest room with the sweetest surprise of a mini graduation cake to help us celebrate! We were truly blown away by the generosity and kindness of the staff, and the beauty of the room. It was one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have stayed in any country! I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip! They even made us Sri Lankan coconut pancakes for our early checkout so we could have something to eat at 6am on the way to the airport: truly top notch hospitality!! And so delicious :)

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...
Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed.
Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car.
Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach.
Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle.
There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

Lovely and quiet palce with a nice view, well equiped kitchen and 24/7 HOT water ( based on my experience in Sri Lanka its a rear case) :) The room was also very clean with new bedding and sanitaryware. The Host provides an exclusive service and available almost 24 hours. Host's wife is a brilliant cook and meal was cooked based on our requests ( definitelly go for breakfast :))
it's 7-10 mins walk to the main road and bus stop. 10 mins ride to Hikkaduwa ( prices: bus 50 LKR per person and tuk tuk 500 LKR)

Breakfast was good. Choice of Sri Lankan or western breakfast. Fresh fruit tea coffee and fresh fruit smoothie Location is right on the beach with superb sunset views and the sound and sight of the waves. On the outskirts of Hikkaduwa so much quieter. Infinity pool is beautiful. Rooms very good size. Very comfy bed. Big shower and tons of hot water. The staff were quiet, polite and helpful. Hearl was lovely.
