We booked a last minute stay in Turyaa as some of our travel plans had changed. I have to say our experience was superb. The hotel is clean and well maintained. (although we didn’t see the south wing as it was closed for renovations) They’ve got amazing view overlooking the beach and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. However what made sour stay really memorable is the service. The staff is very friendly and professional. I could say everyone was great but a few employees stood out: Hirosha, Washanti, Sashini, Chamath, Tharuk. We interacted with them the most and they really made us feel special during our stay. I would recommend to stay in this hotel if you are looking for relaxation. However if you are adventurous and looking to explore there is actually not much to do in Kalutara and the surroundings.

The manager’s wife allowed me to change my booking and to chose the rooftop room which has a very large terrace with table, chairs and sun beds. So I could enjoy the superb sunset on the ocean and in morning the quiet beach awakening. The manager’s family is very friendly and helpfull.

The place was very neat and clean. We stayed a room near pool area and it was a bit noisy due to the crowded pool on the weekend. Room and bathroom is big and clean, equipped with kettle and tea/coffee. The hotel has an inhouse bar with local and foreign liquor therefore, you can order beer, wine on a reasonable rate. Note that there is no minibar in the room. Ice is available on request from the bar. Hotel has its own generator and you don’t have to worry about power cuts. Specially I have to mention the excellent service of the hotel manager who is very kind and concerned about the customer satisfaction.
