We came late at wetland resort they have made a nice welcome for us ,morning we have a nice breakfast and a nice little guy name silva was their for us all time ,he always help us anytime we wanted ..the owner where really amaizing person ,the lady was really amaizing well-done thanks again for the great tasty food that we eat really nice the devilled pork i recommend it.we do enjoy so much their and the pool was a breathtaking and medium hot woow you can stay the whole day night too woow..it was a pleasure staying with you and see you back really soon ..we grade you 2000%. A+. A+.

I stayed here 4 days after very long flights from the US to recover my sleep. Riverrina is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax. The swimming pool is large, clean and refreshing. There is lots of wildlife on the grounds--such a delight to wake up to the many birds singing. (Listen for the kookaburra!) Ask to look at the Dutch canal and the tree with bees! The staff is exceptional--they always appeared as soon as I came downstairs to see if I need anything. I loved the Sri Lankan breakfast that changes a bit everyday. There are many choices on the buffet. Everything is spotless and well-cared for. Although it is a bit far from the airport, I vote it a perfect place to recuperate from a long flight before experiencing this wonderful country.

Very convenient for a stay after/before an international flight, free taxi transfer. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the AC works well. The place is very nice, lots of nature, very well thought! Thank you so much to the manager and Bernard and helped us with a taxi issue and were extremely friendly and hospitable.

The grounds were meticulous . The outside area around the bar and pool were equally impressive. The rooms were outfitted with quality furnishings. The staff was exceptional. Service was 5 star. Food and drinks were delicious.

I‘m glad that I found this hotel - it had everything I needed: - delicious food (breakfast, lunch and dinner available for a very good price) - a comfortable chair with a desk - very good WiFi internet connection - AC and a fan - clean rooms - close to airport Mr. Basil, the caretaker, does an excellent job, he helped me with all my questions and took care of my well-being at anytime! Mrs. Latha cooked for me authentic and delicious Sri Lankan food - I was so happy to stay at this place for six days and to learn a little bit about Sri Lanka! I will come back soon at the end of my trip and I‘m very happy about it! If you need a place in Negombo, you should definitely book this hotel and eat there!

    I hear from others Negombo was great area for the visitors also it is closer to CMB airport that was the reason I selected there. After I explore the area there are so many nice hotels are there to book and also heard down south area is becoming a good spot for the tourism than Negombo.

    Perfect one/two nights on arrival take a tuktuk tour its worth it and last night before you leave. Negombo is 30 mins to the main SRI Lankan Airport, much close than Colombo. Also all hotels have UK plug sockets which is useful

    Its one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka.

    Its one of my favourite places in Sri Lanka. The food places like Prego, Toro pub, Bamboo Kitchen with Shisha, Rodeo are some of the amazing places. The Browns Beach and the people are amazing and loving. Infact Poruthota road has a SPA CEYLON boutique you can use it for mssage rituals from Luxury Ayurveda. Beautiful coastal lines, fsh markets, churches etc. A must visit.

    Most of the hotels and places to stay are on/near the...

    Most of the hotels and places to stay are on/near the tourist strip. The city centre is a tuk tuk drive away which is full of local people not many tourists. We did a tuk tuk town tour which was fun and nice to see the sights. We did the boat cruise at muthalajewela marsh lands and negomboo lagoon which was great for seeing birds and animals. We did a cooking class which was a great authentic experience. We walked along the beach which was pleasant but the rubbish is ashame, think the rubbish everywhere is a problem which isn't seen back home. The restaurants have western food and few sri lankan options. We found a food stall at night near the dolphin roundabout which did roti...yum chocolate and banana ones they also sold other sri lankan food. Owner was very welcoming. Not sure how price was charged,think probably tourist price and local price but still cheaper than proper restaurant. Overall great way to introduce the family to Sri Lanka...think a lot of people end there trip here. We bought a dialog sim at the airport so we could use apps for transport...pickme app like uber but sri lankan version and better. Also use uber. Tuk tuks aplenty here. The apps are good so you can put in where you want to go and where to be picked up from. Also sim good for what's app as most people use what's app. There are a number of ATM's some charge to use them..commercial bank was free. There is a larger supermarket down one end of the strip, there are a number of little convience store along the road if one doesn't have what you want another will :) By the time we left we had seen all the tourist things to see and do.

    Negombo Beach is a tourist resort strip. Negombo old town, and markets are worth a visit. Express bus from bus station to Colombo 50 mins instead of 2 hrs . 20 mins from Airport , good for a day or 2.

    This little hotel is a true gem in Negombo. It's just off the main street enough to feel like a sanctuary, especially on the rooftop where there is a little restaurant serving excellent food, yet it's close enough to gorgeous beaches and great dining. We opted to stay at the hotel for dinner and I had the best chicken kottu I'd had while in Sri Lanka. The rooms are very stylish and the staff are friendly, professional and hospitable. I would definitely stay here the next time I am in Sri Lanka.

    We stayed for a week and felt very much at home. It is a good spot in Negombo, a little outside the hustle near the beach or centre, but you can find loads of restaurants in a 5 minute walk. Breakfast is good, Sri Lankan breakfast great. The team is lovely and works from their heart. The hotel is right next to a church with regular open door masses and Christmas performances. We enjoyed experiencing this side of the Island. You might hear it in your room, but it didn't bother us.

    My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Fun Whales hotel in Negombo, and we had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, the owner and his family warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. Our room was comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities, and the hotel's location was ideal for exploring Negombo's attractions, including the beach. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious sri lankan breakfast.

    Certainly the best resort to book in Negombo Beach. Close to the airport with an excellent location, walking distance from all you need. Large well designed rooms and a staff that will provide you with the best care. It was my first resort upon arrival in Sri Lanka. There wasn't a hotel or resort topping this one during my three weeks that followed while traveling around. I can't wait to come back next year again.
