The scenery was breath taking, the town itself is busy and bustling. Victoria Park was beautiful and well worth a visit. The highlight though was high tea at The Grand Hotel. Served in a lovely vintage room with so much atmosphere, we enjoyed the amazing food, tea and the attentive service.

**Review of Nuwara Eliya**
**Review of Nuwara Eliya**
Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England," is a stunning destination with its lush greenery, cool climate, and picturesque landscapes. One of my favorite spots was **Gregory Lake**, where we enjoyed a peaceful stroll and some thrilling water activities. The **Hakgala Botanical Garden** was another highlight, showcasing an incredible variety of flora and providing a serene escape into nature.
For dining, we tried **Grand Indian**, which served delicious Indian cuisine with generous portions and fantastic service. The **Strawberry Farm Café** was another gem, offering fresh strawberries and delightful desserts in a charming countryside setting.
Getting around Nuwara Eliya was fairly easy. Tuk-tuks were readily available, and the scenic drives made every journey a pleasure. However, I’d recommend hiring a vehicle or planning ahead for remote spots, as public transport can be limited.
For groups of friends, there’s no shortage of fun activities. We enjoyed a tea plantation tour at **Mackwoods Tea Estate**, where we learned about the tea-making process and savored freshly brewed Ceylon tea. Hiking at **Horton Plains National Park** and visiting **World's End** offered breathtaking views and a great group adventure.
Overall, Nuwara Eliya is a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for groups looking to create unforgettable memories.

Beautiful stop off to see tea plantations and "Little England". However, it is hard to find tours where you can see the local women actually picking the tea in the plantations. Factory tours are a bit perfunctory, so worth finding a guide who can take you on more than just the conveyor belt. Also, because it rains in the afternoons it is worth making sure you have enough time to do a morning visit for any tours in which you are interested.

Nuwara Eliya is unique and definitely not a place you should skip. We went for the high tea at the Grand Hotel and loved it. The gardens were gorgeous with soft music complementing the birds songs. I can get lost there for hours. We enjoyed the pub, Lovers Leap waterfall was worth the hike.

The house was so nicely decorated! I felt in a fairytale! The rooms are really big and cosy and have all facilities. In nuwara eliya it can get cold sometimes but the shower has hot water and its very amazing. The hotel owner Heidi is such a lovely and friendly woman who really takes care of you! We had dinner at the hotel and it was honestly one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka so far. The same could be said for the breakfast! We also went one day to horton plains very early and heidi made us a take away breakfast!
We had an absolutely awesome stay at Delphine Hotel in Nuwara Eliya! The room was not only comfortable and clean but also provided a nice view, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The room matched the images on booking.com perfectly, and the beds were cozy. The washroom was spotless, and hot water was available. The breakfast was delicious.
A special shout-out to Mr. Selvam and his daughter, who are taking care of the property with utmost professionalism, kindness, and friendliness. They were really awesome.
This place is absolutely brilliant. A little out of town, settled among the tea plants, the views are stunning, and the hotel itself is immaculate. The beds are so comfy (with duvets!), everything is spotlessly clean, and it’s I unbelievably peaceful. Small and perfectly managed, the people running amount View are delightful! We got caught in the rain, and they very kindly dried our stuff for us. I cannot fault it and would wholly recommend it to everyone staying in Nuwara Eliya.
We stayed 2 nights here to visit Nuwara Eliya. The hotel is located in a quiet area which is not far from the center. (10 min walk). The owner is very friendly, the room is clean, hot shower and the bed is so soft and warm. They have a washing machine for your laundry and places to hang and let it dry. They have umbrellas for the rainy weather and there is free tea available. Can only recommend this place if you want to explore Nuwara Eliya and further.
The cleanest hotel in Nuwara Eliya, the best in the area too. The main restaurant has all the cuisine and the food was amazing. Customer service was excellent.
