The room is very huge with all the facilities provided like five-star hotel. The staff are super kind and thoughtful. We informed them that we need to leave early morning, they offered to pack our breakfast right-away without being asked! The food is fantastic, pls dont miss it even you are not hungry. The view from the room is amazing. Pricing of the food was surprisedly inexpensive. We ended up tipping the staff 200% of the dinner cost! I don’t like this place, but I absolutely LOVE this place. I wish I could stay longer.

The city is located in the mountains, it's a good place for excurtions to Horton Plain National Part or visiting some tea factories. Many waterfalls in the vicinity of the city, nice colonial buildings from British times.
W mieście totalnie nie ma restauracji w których można by było coś zjeść, jedynie w Grand Hotel i jednej pizzerii znaleźliśmy coś dla siebie. Brudno, śmierdzi brak czegokolwiek do zobaczenia.
W miasteczku są albo bardzo drogie restauracje albo bary dla Lankijczyków. Trudno coś zjeść w przyzwoitych warunkach i w niewygurowanej cenie. Ostatecznie jedliśmy w tanich barach dla miejscowych,było pysznie, choć wiekszość potraw zimna. Nie pochorowaliśmy się jednak ;-) Jeśli chodzi o okolice miasta to są tam piękne plantacje herbaty. Jest bardzo malowniczo. I jest to świetna baza wypadowa. Byliśmy w Parku Hortona i był to świetny trekking.
W okolicy 30km piękne wodospady i fabryka herbaty- ramboda. Samo miasto brzydkie, a w centrum ciężko znaleźć przyzwoitą jadłodajnię. Dobre miejsce wypadowe, bo jest spory dworzec autobusowy i mnóstwo połączeń.
Interesting city to visit, especially as a base for a trip to Horton Plains. City itself is visibly poor and people are less used to see tourist there. Great views and mountain trips opportunities. Plus tea, lots of tea.
Nuwara Eliya była naszym punktem wypadowym do Horton Plain National Park (fantastyczny!). Zabrakło nam czasu na porządne poszwędanie się po mieście, a szkoda, bo klimat jest tu fantastyczny. Zjedliśmy obiad w lankijskiej jadłodajni w parku Victori, wypiliśmy herbatkę na idealnie wystrzyżonym trawniku przed zabytkowym Grand Hotelem, przebiegliśmy przez pole golfowe, i tylko na tyle wystarczyło nam czasu.

Bardzo fajnie położony hotelik blisko centrum Nuwara Eliya. Zapewnia dodatkowe koce bo noce są tam bardzo zimne. Czasami temperatura spadała do 5 stopni. Podobało mi się też, iż zapewniono termofory. Bardzo pomocny personel, potrafiący wskazać ciekawsze miejsca w mieście. Śniadania smaczne i obfite choć monotonne. Jeśli jest się tam dłużej niż 2 noce mogą się znudzić.

Świetna obsługa i bezproblemowość. Warunki w wielu "hotelach" na Sri Lance mnie zabiły, tutaj zostałem pozytywnie zaskoczony. Czysto, klimatyzacja, bardzo miła Pani się nami zajmowała i zawsze wychodziła naprzeciw naszym oczekiwaniom, godna zaufania. Polecam mocno
Bardzo pomocny personel, elastycznie dostosowuje się do potrzeb ( np. Lunch box zamiast śniadania). Z hotelu 12 min spacerem do centrum miejscowości. A także w zasięgu pieszej wędrówki jest wodospad i tea factory. W hotelu ciepła woda i koce.

Przyjechałam na trekking i w 5 minut manager hotelu zorganizował mi transport i sprawdzil aktualne ceny. Dobra obsługa.
The hotel was comfortable providing an open fire and a lounging area to enjoy it, our room overlooked Victoria Park providing a nice outlook and the hotel was a short walk into town but far enough away. We were greeted and checked in by David Robson who was very welcoming and explained all we needed to Know about the facilities. David in our view is a great asset to the hotel and its guest, he explained in detail all answers to our questions and provided genuine advice on local services to our benefit. David has good information about attractions and places to visit, also the drivers of the modes of transport he suggested were reliable and safe. Another staff member Alan (not Alan Border) his words was very attentive to our needs in the dining room and along with David. Alan was a wealth of knowledge of many a subject in particular Sri Lankan high country which we found interesting and enlightening. The meals here we very nice we enjoyed our choices.

A true sample of excellent hospitality!!!Upon arrival we were welcomed by the staff and staff was extremely friendly and good service ,the restaurant was flexible on timings and had yummy breakfast ,perfect location very close to the racecourse and etc.. very nice relaxed ambience..Rooms were spacious and clean. Gardens are a highlight.Speck thanks to Mr Mahdi for all the support given during our stay.We would definitely recommend this place to any one who would visit Nuwaraeliya!!!Thank you once again for making our stay memorable..

Moj najlepszy nocleg jak do tej pory na Sri Lance. Swietna lokalizacja, poza miastem i glowna ulica, na obrzezach pola golfowego. Duza, przestronna sala wspolna, z kominkiem i widokiem na otaczajaca zielen. W pokojach udostepnione grube, przytulne koce, bardzo przydatne w chlodniejsze tu noce. Kompetenty, przyjazny, elastyczny personel, dobrze przygotowany na nieoczekiwane prozby gosci.
The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay happy. The breakfast was excellent and very large. They didnt give us a time for breakfast, they asked us to tell them when we wanted it. Also gave us free lifts to town if they were going out anyway. Rooms very nice, big and clean. Only a short walk to town and nice views. For the price very good! Thank you!
It was an excellent stay at Queenswood, highly recommended to anyone seeking for a nice stay in Nuwaraeliya. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was excellent and the rooms were very clean and cozy, hot water shower was the best!
