This traditional house and former coaching inn has been a hotel in Beaufort for over 200 years. Auberge Rustique is in the area of Luxembourg known as Little Switzerland. The hotel, well an inn, has been running since 1790. It is almost opposite the Castle of Beaufort. There are plenty of lovely walks on its doorstep. They provide a rich breakfast and cook nice meal. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place, this is the right place. Thank you again to Hetty and Max for looking after me. I had a great break in the Müllerthal region.
Villa Waldeslust is set in Beaufort, 7 km from Castle Beaufort, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. This holiday home features a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. The beautiful location. Nice and quiet in the woods but only 8 min drive away from bollendorf pond which has a nice bakery supermarket an restaurants. All the great walks are just a 15-20 min car drive away. Perfect.
Meyer Appartments offer simply-furnished apartments with a balcony in a scenic countryside setting, on the edge of Beaufort. The apartment fit the 6 of us wonderfully. Yes, it is not a fancy apartment, but it was exactly what we needed. Perfect walk from the terrace directly to the pool and sauna, a little kitchen for cooking our own meals, walking distance to a grocery store, playground and bakery, and great outdoor space with a playground for the children.
Beaufort castle is interesting. There are a couple of delightful walks starting very near the hotel and very many more within a short drive. Interesting small towns like Vianden (and LaRochette) within half an hour
Quiet village, with mediëval fortress, excellent start for scenic long walks in two directions, up to 37 km, but with several shortcuts. Nice villages in between with restaurants. Slow down vacation!
Good starting point for joining the Trail near the castle. A couple of restaurants in the village. There was an ice rink and a tourist office to assist with things to do if you didn't like walking.
Very interesting medieval castle (we did not have the chance to visit the renaissance castle next door - but would have wanted to - it has strange opening times) + nice walks. Relatively expensive restaurants.
Lovely place in a lovely area. Great castles, definitely worth visiting both. Berdorf and Mullerthal are a must, at least the most interesting parts (rock formations). Vianden too of course, though better for a separate trip. Not much else in Beaufort apart from the castles though, only a few restaurants, super expensive (apart from the Portuguese pizza place). Great starting point for mountain bike trips or 4x4 trails.
I love the place is very nearby the castle, the apartment is big with a very good bed, has 2 verandas one inside and one big outside( i want back in spring-summer)the kitchen has everything you need, the bed are very comfy but my suggestion if you don't like big pillow take your own, the apartement is also comfortable for a family big sofa cama, love the view perfect for walkers, and the host has very good attetion. execellent price, if you like to visit petit suisse Beaufort is very central.must go!
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Meyer very much. Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, great pool. An additional benefit were the walking trails starting as from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel with view of Beaufort castle. Comfortable and clean with a great location.
