Free Wi-Fi access is available. thermal insulation, spacious apartment separated bedroom, 24h front door service , staff knows many languages including English,very friendly and helpful staff , owner has a great care of the business in all details , breakfast was very delicious there is a very good coffee machine , very welcoming hotel ,car parking dual exits from two roads , it’s a themed hotel about planes , so unique and was a great experience as myself personally traveled several countries and this Biplane hotel became one of my favourite a 5 stars from my point of view, I highly recommend as I were so pleased with my stay also the city of Daugavpils is indeed very nice place to visit, the hotel is very clean, the location is one of the best spots in Daugavpils,

I was so impressed by this hotel that I was even thinking of shifting to this hotel for several weeks .. Kudos and thanks to the staff and hotel management for the making my stay amazing ..

Just a three to four minute walk from the bus station and within waking distance of attractions, supermarket, coffee shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The beds were quite comfortable and there were two chairs and an end table in the room that provided a nice little sitting area. Owner/Manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful. I felt very safe there as a solo traveler.

I wish we had more time in Daugavpils!
I wish we had more time in Daugavpils! The city center is wonderfully renovated and reminds me of Liepaja, Riga and St Petersburg all at the same time. The whole city is an eclectic mix of tsarist barracks and typical Soviet houses. The center is walkable and has several great restaurants and cafes to enjoy, as well as green parks to cool off in the summer heat. Try to visit the fortress if you can, and enjoy Daugava's twists and turns around Daugavpils.

There is not much to do in winter time in Daugavpils. However, many people visiting their parents and friends during Christmas and New Eve and usually silent city becomes more lively. Lazy walks, simple excursions, occasional lunches and coffee breaks, cinemas which run movies in Russian. Daugavpils holds an impressive heritage of architecture presented by building from IX-X. Fortress is just amazing! Rothko art museum is very interesting. For ghost cities fans, recommend to visit former Chemical fibers manufacture.

Unexpected and not much recommended in tour guides. However Daugavpils is worth visiting! Make sure to visit the fort, it's immense and it's something else. Quite some history. Try to check out the history of Daugavpils as well, it's interesting with huge Russian influences. Nowadays it's refererred to as Little Russia (so we heard) and it certainly has the vibe. You have to like it, it's a little rough around the edges. Unfortunately we only had a short day there and only went to the Fort. That being said, that alone is already worth the effort.

I like the city.
I like the city. I think, I will go for weekend a second time. I rekommend you to make a walk in Daugavpils castle (latvian- Cietoksnis)! Walk to Dubrovin's park and Dubrovin monument. Look for a nice architecture of end ot 19.th century and begining of 20th century in the city center. Take a tram and go to Stropi lake public beach and promenade. (Now, at the end of 2019 year, there are some very nice historic trams, abot 40 years old. It operates on the 3th line from Castle to Stropi lake. Like a museum tram in city traffic.)

Beautiful city with lots of character! Rothko museum and Daugavpils Theatre are must see! Latgola hotel also organises excursions. Try local beers and shashlik - bbq. Places to eat - Yoggi Bear, Cafe Imbir, Ezitis Migla. River views and magnificent and fireworks at key events will impress you. If you visit Daugavpils at summer - make sure to swim in one of numerous lakes:)

We stayed with 2 small dogs, and the staff were very accomodating, though a cleaning fee applies. Free private parking is available in the yard 10 meters from the entrance. The room we booked was a Family Studio, and it is indeed like a small apartment with a small fridge and kitchenette. Very clean and great value for money!

The hotel is small (only 10 rooms or so), so it definitely gives a homely feeling. Our room was clean and pleasant and the receptionists were very nice. The breakfast was delicious. Of course the central location is a big thumbs up, as all restaurants and cafes are within a short walk. Our room even had a big balcony, although it overlooked the yard and not the street.
