The room was perfectly comfortable even if not large. The large openable window provided great natural ventilation during a hot spell. Location was very central both to drive to and walk from. Breakfast was superb! We were very pleased and surprised by the variety and quality of the breakfast buffet.

I am never a tourist in Liepāja, because I consider it my second hometown since early childhood. Therefore, I recommend travelers to enjoy Liepāja in its diversity, based on their own taste and interests. This time I had the opportunity to visit Liepāja's 17th–19th Century Interior Museum "Madame Hoyer's Guest House", which also has a pub with traditional local dishes. I recommend both visiting the museum and tasting the food.

One of largest towns in Latvia.
One of largest towns in Latvia. Liepaja has a lot of history and culture. During your stay you can spend time at the beach, enjoy cafes and bars in the town or even go clubbing on the seaside. For visitors who likes music, Liepaja is rich with music. Some of very famous local bands come form Liepaja. During summer there are a few spots with regular live music concerts and of course - Liepajas dzinters concert hall.

It has an interesting history, but to be honest there is not a lot to do or see in the city other than the derelict costal forts, post war rebuild is mostly industrial/commercial so there is very little "old town" left, I went off-season so most tourist sights were closed. I suspect in tourist season my view of the town would improve. There is a lot of potential in the north part with military history and a lot of grand buildings that have been left to ruin or ruined by soviet style concrete blocks. Needs sympathetic rejuvenation. Worth a visit but not a prolonged stay.

Liepaja is a "hidden gem" of Latvia!
Liepaja is a "hidden gem" of Latvia! It has a wonderful, relaxed vibe. Food everywhere was delicious and fresh. The people seemed much friendlier than Riga. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect spot to spend a few days. There are also plenty of nature excursions to do in the area.

My favourite places: market, beach, before beach is excellent walking parks, good restaurants and a lot more things to do. We didn't enjoy the roadworks. A lot roads are closed, a lot traffic jams. We recommend to visit Liepaja City!!!
I absolutely loved this apartment - it is stunning! it was also the best value apartment that I could find in Liepāja. It’s around a five minute walk to the centre and fifteen minutes to the seaside park and beach. It was very comfortable and cosy and very quiet at night. I felt safe in the area. There was Netflix available on the tv and a dolce gusto coffee machine! Probably the best thing about this apartment is the standalone bath!!! I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel!
Breakfast was absolutely perfect. If you want to enjoy a luxurious breakfast, you should come to the promenade hotel in Liepāja, they even offer a glass of prosecco there. The staff was super friendly. Beautiful interior.
The location is perfect - 5 min on foot till the beach and biggest childrens’ playground in Liepāja. As well the hotel has restaurant with nice children play area which is a big bonus when travelling with children.
Very centrally located boutique hotel. Fully renovated a couple of years ago, with art collection displayed in corridors and rooms. Nice big room, good breakfast. A good place for exploring Liepaja.
It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is very cosy, right in the centre of Liepaja. We were very satisfied with the breakfast and the friendliness and support of the hotel staff.
