If you are tired of busy Riga, need some peace and still need all city comforts and don't want to go too far from Riga - Valmiera is a great choice. I have been there couple of times before, but i really enjoyed parks, area around castle ruins and also Daliņi park next day. The food was also pretty good, we visited one place during the evening and one next morning - both were good. Well, some bar or brewery is missing in Valmiera to get some more tourists- youngsters. And im pretty sure that in close future it will be much more beautiful because are around castle ruins and also theater is under reconstruction right now.Guest review byAgnisLatvia

Nothing outstanding, just a classic hotel room, but everything looked and felt new. There was a fridge and a kettle in the room. The price was very reasonable comparing to other options in Valmiera for weekend.
