Located in Aït Benhaddou, 10 miles from Ksar Ait-Ben-Haddou, Maison D'hotes Achahoud provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. The accommodation is located on a canyon slope (next to main road), featuring stunning views of the canyon valley: rugged cliffs covered with palmtrees and a valley with a stream. All the rooms have a view, and especially the corner room (our room), which was nice as it had an extra wide view and an extra window. This, in addition with the lovely shared roof terrace, make it a true haven of tranquility away from the touristic Ait Ben Haddou village but still close enough to reach it in 20 min by car. This highly picturesque area is matched in quality by the great hospitality of the hosts: not a moment went by without the hosts bringing tea and snacks with a smile that makes you feel very welcome! We would describe the hospitality as visiting your favorite grandparents; great comfort and never a moment feeling you are hungry. The rooms are modest but feel like home, and the soft natural sounds of the oasis echoing in the canyon will help you fall asleep. Overall, the price/quality of this location were very high! If you have a day or two and are in for a more relaxing experience in the area, this is the place to be.

We really did not expect to find what we did - lots of small craft and artisan stalls inside. We could have spent hours here but only had a short time - we will revisit in the future and find more things to see Managed to get some nice pictures from the river too
A village to visit for the UNESCO heritage site used for movies and Game of Thrones. If you don’t want to go for that or desert (not dunes) scenery this would not be the place for you, but if you do it is well worth making the visit. Nearby movie studios were disappointing. Great stargazing location. Very oddly there is a Chinese restaurant, but I did not try it. Why would one?
The view from this property was stunning , there were many areas to sit outside, to observe or just soak up the silence. The food was brilliant and the room cleaned to a high standard. I never walked to the Casbah but it was close by and a stopping off place for tourists. Jamal was very proud of his cooking, and quite rightly, the extra I paid for a meal there was totally worth while. I could make my payment via card, which was handy as there was no ATM in Ait Ben Haddou. A true paradise of silence, and a pool !
The setting is biblical, immaculate location, and the local people we met on the street, everyone really, were so friendly and welcoming in a very natural way. The meals were great, it is a very real place I would recommend to all.
A stop over for a few hours to check out the city and buildings is fine, it is not needed to have a night there but the alternatives are very rare as well (Ouzazarte) so it is not the worst option to stop over when going to the deserts.
Wonderful setting for a great opportunity to visit al eleventh century ksar. The hotel is beautiful and we were treated like royalty! Staying the night gave us a chance to experience the ancient city in all it’s splendor as well as getting to know some of the families that continue to live inside the walled city the is a UNESCO protected site. One of a kind experience. Would definitely do it again!
Aït Benhaddou
We stayed at the Kasbah for 2 nights and enjoyed it! The hosts were again very welcoming, breakfast was served around 9am and included all traditional moroccan things from their crepes, eggs, olives to marmalade and of course tea and coffee. It was beginning of June, so we really were happy about the pool area, which is nicely situated in the court! Parking is easy directly in front of the Kasbah and the old Town of Ait Ben Haddou is just a short walk away! So well located if you travel by car yourself around Morocco.
Aït Benhaddou
We literally didn’t want to leave this place! Idris is such an incredible guy with an amazing heart! And his hotel exactly reflects that! Every little detail is handmade and makes the environment incredibly warm and peaceful. We are surprised how a hotel we just wanted to spend the night on our way from Merzouga to Marrakesh turned out to our best hotel experience in Morocco! The hospitality, the food, the service, the friendship of Idris, in short everything was perfect! Can’t recommend more!
Aït Benhaddou
We couldn't have asked for nicer hosts. They were kind and helpful and not at all pushy. The location is a little outside the tourist center which was perfect for us. It was quiet and had a great view. Be sure to use the road the hotel is on, which your host will recommend, if you are heading into Marrakesh for a most amazing journey instead of the main highway if you are up for a little adventure.
Aït Benhaddou
Very nice place. The rooms are extremely clean. AC is strong enough even for the Moroccan summer. The pool is great for a little R&R. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Excellent location to visit Ait Ben Haddou. Within walking distance. The food was also very good.

The Dar El Haja is really beautiful and nice, and by being inside Ait Ben Haddou makes it a very nice experience. The staff was very nice and helpful and the food, both diner and breakfast, was great! In the night "show" and the star gazing on the rooftop is amazing.
