CanadaIt’s such a great location. You’re literally situated next to the staircase that would take you all the way to the highest point at Ait Ben Haddou for the perfect sunset view. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They told us how to get to the sunset view and sunrise view. There are also shops on the way. It really helps the locals there if you buy something local so we did just that. It was a very memorable stay and the Kasbah was perfect to explore the culture.

LithuaniaThe host Achraf is super nice and hospitable, from the moment we arrived he made us feel like we’re visiting an old friend. He gave us suggestions where to go and what to do around, where to eat etc, so we shouldn’t worry about anything ourselves. In the evening he invited us on the roof for a little stargazing session and told us about this town history. The room was simple but nice and the breakfast was freshly made, so we enjoyed it all. Definitely worth the money, recommend!

The Riad Caravene is fantastic in every way. The riad looks like something from House Beautiful with beautiful spaces and lovely art. The rooms are gorgeous, the common spaces lovely. Particularly nice are the two terraces near and at the top of the riad, with great views in all directions and lovely furnishings. The small pool and deck on the ground floor also were lovely and a perfect spot after walking around the ksar. The staff were wonderfully helpful and the food outstanding. We would return in a heartbeat if our travels take us this way again. Thanks to all!

The family who own and run the hotel are ALL wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable and we felt well taken care of and very safe. Our requests were accommodated quickly and our bags were taken upstairs, without our having to ask. Highly recommended.

Entering from the garden (the white sand bags in the river), climbing to the top and crossing in the bridge on the return is perfect. You can see local artists, enjoy the peace in the "garden", see the view on the top and have a moroccan tea before cross the bridge.

Most people come here for a few hours.
Most people come here for a few hours. I stayed for 3 days and could have stayed longer. It’s a lovely friendly town where you can spend time browsing through small shops, visiting art galleries, watching the night sky and soaking up the ambiance of this historical place. The highlight was a full day trip on horseback with Cheval Aït Ben Haddou. They have a Google page.

It's a really quiet town honestly.
It's a really quiet town honestly. It is a convenient place to stop, half way between Marrakesh and Merzouga but i feel like half a day would be plenty to see it all. I spent two days and it was definitely too long. The city itself is nothing special, rather touristy. Plenty of tour buses stop for the day, so it gets crowded between 11 to 5, but insanely quiet a night once they're all gone. I highly recommend La Terraza for dinner, they actually have delicious Italian food, with charcuterie and cheese, and their pizza and pasta are authentic. They also serve alcohol which is super hard to find in small morrocan towns like this one.

The kasbah was great to visit. Enjoyed the climb. Found some good shops for souvenirs. Brilliant views. Stunning scenery. Not much in the town / Main Street. Just a few cafes. The main attraction is the kasbah. Find a hotel with a roof top to enjoy the view and take in some star gazing too.

Great hotel for amazing views to the historic ksar of Ait Ben Haddou! We had a cosy berber room with window view to the valley, river and kasbah. We enjoyed it a lot. Houssine organized a guide called Hassan for us, whose familiy‘s still living in the historic oldtown. We had great impressions of this magic place in the early morning before the most tourists are coming.

The Room was nice, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was also very nice. It was very good to have a heater in the room as it got pretty cold at night. The Host was very friendly and even offered to help us find another hotel should we not be satisfied with the room. Ait Ben Haddou is in walking distance.
