The portuguese fortification on the seashore was spectacular.There is a wonderful beach nearby. Far less foreign tourists than other places. The place is neither too big nor too small. End of February was a bit too cold for a pleasant visit. The beach is nice and vast so I guess it would make a summer vacation here worth the while! El Jadida, Morocco, is a charming coastal city with rich history, especially in the old Portuguese City, a UNESCO site. The beaches are nice but could use better maintenance. The area is lively, with great cafes, restaurants, and plenty of activities, especially in summer. It was my first visit to El Jadida a d I will certainly visit again. The town is very interesting with lots of beautiful architecture and phantastic beaches. Most important for me was that is NOT overcrowded by tourists. The people were very helpful, kind and friendly. I felt safe here at anytime if the day. I specifically went to visit the Portuguese fortified city and cistern and was disappointed. The cistern is closed for renovation. This UNESCO fortification is totally rundown and dirty. Very sad to see. I do not recommend spending the time to visit this.Guest review byMarioCanada

We enjoyed the room but there were a few issues that contributed to our score. The room is above the main street which provides a lot of noise due to the cheap windows that offer very little sound protection. The biggest issue however was the poor wifi speed which made using the internet at night completely impossible. We feel that in 2025, proper internet speed should be a basic provision.
