Monte Carlo / Monaco is not renowned for its friendliness or its cheapness but you can overcome these traits by sticking to restaurants, bars or cafés run by the many Italians. Entry fees are at acceptable rates and a lot is free, especially the beautiful public parks. Using public transport is easy enough (just have a bank/credit card for buses). There's a lot to see in a compact space and a much of it is unique or unusual. The Oceanographic Institute with its aquarium and fabulous rooftop views, the palace square, the old town and coastal paths of the Rocher, the morning tour of the Casino, the parks and gardens are all worthwhile.Guest review byPaulItaly - 10.0

For a romantic short city break it was a fantastic location and staying in the Fairmont hotel with a stunning sea view was amazing. We flew from Nice airport to Monaco by helicopter to start the trip off on a high,. It was so clean and tidy everywhere and the people were really friendly.
