There is nothing to see in the city. No old town, no beautiful city center. The staff at the restaurant laugh when we asked what is to see here (Podgorica), Just a very depressing eastern capital city with stray dogs (harmless) running around. Spend the time at the beach or mountains, speak this city.

Podgorica is not a tourist hotspot but an interesting experience. A small town. The historic center is just two streets, the clock tower and a mosque. We visited the Podgorica Museum with an interesting exhibit on the royal family a century ago and an art gallery. We also visited the Kuslevova kuća museum, an old house of a dentist but with various exhibitions and very friendly staff. There are some nice modern restuarants and bars around Ivana Milutinovića in Novi Grad. Also on Tig Republika.

There's nothing much to do in Podgorica.
There's nothing much to do in Podgorica.
Despite being a capital city, most of the attractions are atleast 50 miles from there like Kotor and Budva.
It is cheap to travel in Podgorica by taxis and local buses.
As well they have some great restaurants there.
A good location to spend a day.

Despite being the capital it is not a city worth visiting.
Despite being the capital it is not a city worth visiting. You can visit all the "monuments" and "tourist sites" in Podgorica in 2 hours on foot. It is like living on the outskirts of Rome back in the 70s. English is not widely spoken especially if you plan to take busses to go to other tourist places like Budva or Bar. The staff at the stations and on those buses are pretty rude and they are not keen on helping tourists. I had to ask for the help of other travelers or locals. If I had to go back I would probably stay in Budva or other places near the coast. Podgorica is cheap but it is way too expensive considering what it has to offer.

The city is beautiful for its eclecticism. Very underrated by tourists. The city has many pleasant places to walk, wonderful cafes and restaurants, and street food. The nightlife is also very exciting. Living in the city is safe at any time of the day or night. Very beautiful people.

The city has so many ruins they do not even bother to label them or secure them. Saw many people just walking through while shopping or family outings. But no controls were needed as it seems everyone was respectful of the ruins.
We stayed in Podgorica only for 1 night, just to rent a car next morning and go to the next place. Hotel is 15 minutes by car from the airport, located near the road, so it might be noise with open windows. The room was big. Breakfast is small but good.
Personnel was very responsive and helpful, they ordered very affordable taxi to the airport and recommended some local wines. The bar is working till midnight and there is a grocery 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
WiFi was fast enough to watch the movie before the night.
A super hotel as my first accomodation on arrival in Montenegro. Next to bus and train stations but I had a room at the back and it was completely quiet at all times. Hotel is immaculately clean, modern and well decorated and furnished, with indoor and outdoor areas in which to relax. Fantastic breakfast with hot food and
everything else. Charming and helpful English speaking receptionists. Amazing value for money and a perfect choice for Podgorica city centre. Highly recommended.
The hotel is located in the city centre, right at one of the most popular streets full of cafes restaurants. The breakfast (included) was amazing, but be prepared to receive a huge portion. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom really nice and clean. Also, the staff is amazing and very helpful: getting an invoice or a taxi to the airport was not a problem at all!
If you book this place, 90% you dont need a car (yes if you want go to another city of course🙂), but for tourist interesting things in Podgorica, from this place you can visit by walk, everything is near. City center is 300 m far from adress, president house, parliament of montenegro about 200 m. About house: very spacious rooms, wifi works great, clean 10/10.
The service was outstanding! Personal thinks a step ahead to make it as comfortable as possible for the guests. This counts for checking in, housekeeping, food recommendations, etc. Personal takes their their for the guests and makes them feel at home. The city Podgorica is not that special but this hotel makes it worth to come back!!
