There's not very much to do in La Trinite- just an afternoon visit. If travelling make sure to hire a vehicle or book trips in advance so that you get to see more of the island. Note no tour operators (that we could find) would do pick ups from La Trinite

Trinité is part of the north of the island, which is less touristy than the south but more authentic. We recommend a trip to Grand Rivière, but also to Saint Pierre, passing through Ajoupa and Bouillon, and discovering Mount Pelée.

Being able to take a stroll on the Caravelle peninsula, visit a rum distillery, the North East of the island with all its particularities, Sainte Marie and its Tombolo, the banana plantations, a basketry... Renting a car is very convenient and allows you to be independent, to follow your desires and to more easily enter the lands and the Mornes.

Lack of cleanliness, many abandoned cars and houses. Friendly welcome at the covered market and fish stalls. People are relaxed and polite: generally a good atmosphere. Uninteresting sights nearby.

Tartane is magnificent!
Tartane is magnificent! The fishermen provide fresh fish, and there are several restaurants to suit all tastes. Shops for small food purchases and souvenirs are plentiful. Tartane is very lively, and the beaches are beautiful. Vendors sell Creole sorbet and other local products. The accommodation and its host are a must-see... they're fantastic!

The numerous beaches are easily accessible. You can park your car nearby. All beaches offer ample shade. The sea has mild to no waves, and temperatures hover around 28 degrees Celsius.

Great location, close to two different beaches.
Picturesque road from the airport.
We spent little time in Martinique, but I fully enjoyed it thanks to French Coco.
