Set right on Sliema's seafront, Hotel Marina is just a few steps from Sliema Bus Terminus and the ferry port to Valletta. This place is superb, and excellent value for the money right now. I had the cheapest single room and it was bigger than expected. It's got everything you need, and is serviced daily. Cleaners are doing a good job as well and fills up with what you need in time. The location is superb right by the bus stop and the ferries. I think it has the best view in Sliema. From the balcony you see both Valletta and the entire Sliema bay. You see both sunrise and sunset, and at night both the dimly yellow lit old Valletta and the bright lights of modern Sliema.

Our amazing experience started with very responsive help before our arrival! My mother did dream for a long time about taking a nice bath, so I requested one whilst booking, and the hotel's staff did hear and fulfilled our request. But the best part kicked in when we arrived for a check-in :) We felt like we got into a fairytale as charming Charles at the front desk welcomed us with a great smile and UPGRADE of our room. Absolutely free of charge! And I couldn't count all the other great services that we got from this amazing hotel. Breakfast is great, Gym is great, Pool is great, and SPA has a very professional staff.

There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops in Sliema. It is quite well positioned for access to Valletta and there are plenty of land and sea tours departing from Sliema itself, although sometimes it is necessary to travel into Valletta to pick up a bus to travel elsewhere on the island. It is worth researching in advance what you want to see. Be especially careful if thinking of using the hop-on, hop-off bus tours that they will actually give you sufficient time to explore the places you want to see, and enough places in a day to justify the cost. Worth starting out early to make the most of such trips.
Sliema has plenty of good bars and restaurants but little else to offer except as a good base for visiting other places of interest in Malta. The town looks across to Valletta so the views are fantastic. The public transport system is excellent making the whole island accessible.
Sliema is a great place to stay. There is a nice water front. Also ferries to Valetta, Gozo and Comino. It has a range of restaurants opposite the seafront, from Italian to Halal Turkish. There are also loads of drinking places.
It is a great place to stay in Malta. As it can be a good hub if you cannot find a place in Valetta. Sliema has lots of restaurants, lot of public transport options and many cruises to start your holidays.
Beautiful place, by the sea and the boats, night life, until 23:00 at least, cosmopolitcan place, with lots of languages heard, nice coffee places, very nice hosts and shops keepers, very polite to the tourists. Very easy public bus transportation, lots of sun even in Christmas, long walks in the morning and the evening by the beach were wonderful. Fantastic shopping mall in the area (The Point) and lots of food choices from greek gyros, to asian food and italian pizza.
Sliema is not our favourite area but the hotel was really good, staff excellent. Sliema is perfect for eating, drinking and shopping but not in a loud way, it is very up market in a way. Great central location as no where is far to travel on the island. If you like city life in is good for you, but it is a small city rather than a big, chaotic one.
The location was superb... Bus stop in front of the hotel to go anywhere you want on the island... In front of the hotel you have many restorants, pubs, bakeries, and you are on walking distance to Silema ferries, and to Paceville... Also great thing about this hotel is a beautiful view on a bay in a higher floor room and in a restaurant. It was clean, and housekeeping comes every day. Breakfast was fine, i couldn't say more, but if you stay a couple of days it should be enough. Wifi was good, and a staff are super nice and friendly...
Great location in a quiet part of Sliema facing the sea / promenade, near to bus stops where we caught buses to all parts of the island. Although there was no restaurant at the time, (due to Covid restrictions) the bar had a more than adequate range of hot and cold small plates at good prices and a wide range of drinks which were cheaper than elsewhere and a good quality range. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is very well located, in the very lively area of Sliema. There are supermarkets, bars, restaurants, beauty salons and other shops in the walking distance from the hotel. Rooms are clean, cozy, quite spacious and has all commodities it needs. The ones with the sea view overlook to the beautiful city of Valetta. Nevertheless, the staff is the best part of the hotel. Extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We felt at home from day 1 and would definitely go back.
The location is very good. The hotel is located on the main road of Sliema city, 5 minutes walking nearby ferry to Valleta and a lot of restaurants and pubs. The view from the double sea-view romm is amazing in the morning. The staff was extremly friendly and very helpful.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very comfortable (common rooms and our suite) Lots of choice for dinning and breakfast buffet was great. Pride of ownership shows - we could see the hotel was recently upgraded and kept in very good condition.
the rooms are very comfortable and perfect for a relax nighttime. we love the smell , the bath products and the pillows. we will definitely return to this hotel when in malta . all the staff was very welcome and the common areas , as the breakfast were 5 stars
