Hotel in Valletta
Set within Valletta's ancient fortifications, the Osborne Hotel features free WiFi throughout and is a 5-minute walk from Malta's St. John’s Cavalier and St. John’s Co-Cathedral. Despite my use of a navigation system with an updated 2020 electronic map, it iwas not easy to get to the hotel--which is located in the upper part of Valetta's Old Town--because there was ongoing road and building construction, and some of the narrow streets which I could (according to my navi) supposedly enter were one-way streets, so that I had to opt for a different access. An updated navigation system can only be useful, if the "updates" are also reported by the responsible local traffic officials. I was lucky to find an empty space for my rental car at a parking place located at the end of "South Street". Despite my early 12:30 PM arrival, the friendly and very accommodating hotel receptionist permitted my early check-in and allocated a room on the 5th floor, with a wonderful sea view and a view overlooking parts of Valetta. The interior design of the hotel was classic---with impeccably maintained wooden furnishings, and carpet-covered floors---but also featured a modern functionality. My room was equipped with all necessary amenities, had a bathroom with a bath tub, and even a concave shaped mirror for shaving, which I have rarely seen in hotel bathrooms in recent years. The breakfast was served "a la carte", with offered selections from an English and Continental breakfast, and although there were no fancy options, the breakfast was sufficiently diverse, with good-quality coffee and food items. I never used the rooftop pool, but I saw that the relatively small size does not invite anyone for a swim. But, you could use it perhaps as an oversized jacuzzi to relax, yet without the hydrojet massage....Upon a future visit of Valetta, I would definitely choose the same hotel again, and can whole-heartedly recommend this hotel

Featuring a restaurant, shared lounge and views of city, The Cumberland Hotel by NEU Collective is located in Valletta, 2.5 km from Balluta Bay Beach. Everything! The way they have resurrected what was obviously a very old building was well done. The rooms were well equipped, comfortable, and well cleaned. The roof offered seating, a hot tub and views over the Grand Harbour. Breakfast service was most pleasant, unusual to have table service and the staff were always welcoming and happy to serve you. If you wanted a drink you could order one as the bar was closed. Its location: on a pedestrianised side road 50 yards away from the main thoroughfares of Valletta. The bus station was barely five minutes away and Bolt (the Uber alternative) stopped at the bus stop called Gang. Fare to the airport €14. The thing that made this week so pleasant were the staff, from the hands-on boss to the cleaning ladies, and the. reception staff.

Offering a fitness centre and a bar, La Falconeria Hotel is set in Valletta. WiFi is free throughout. Each elegantly decorated room at this hotel is air conditioned and comes with a flat-screen TV. Staff is very professional, open and friendly, and always willing to help, e.g. they called to the restaurant and booked a table on my behalf, or always recommended good places to visit or to find certain things (like cosmetics etc.). La Falconeria’s sister hotel Palais Le Brun has swimming pool that can be used for free by guests of both hotels which is very convenient. Breakfasts are very good, you can find savoury and sweet positions. Room pretty cozy, we had the open balcony and it was nice. Always clean. I really cannot say anything bad about the hotel. The time spent there was great and people were amazing. With no overstatement I can recommend this place!

Valletta is steeped in amazing history, with fabulous architecture and incredible views. There is something for everyone, from embracing the historical events that have forged this city and the whole of the Maltese Islands, to gazing in awe at Caravaggio in St. John's Co Cathedral, to enjoying the very relaxed; and very delicious food and wine of Malta along with a boat trip around the fabulous harbours and coastline. The people of Malta are fabulously welcoming and truly delightful with a pride of their homeland that allows you to feel at home and completely relaxed from the moment you arrive. Valletta is one of the most fabulous places to visit and being quite a small city everything is within very easy access.
Valletta itself is an interesting but small city but the excellent buses provided good access to all parts of the island , and Goza Some wonderful historic sites. I went to concerts at the wonderful theatre which made the trip worthwhile1 Also it appears to be a good value for money place, perhaps the summer is more expensive?
the city itself is a museum. one can go at any place, everything is just marvellous. it is nice at day and at night. every evening the local people have a kind of carnival, especially on weekend. many interesting places. the city has very convenient transportation system, buses and ferry at the price of 1.5 euro. it has no beach but it is possible to take a swim on its rocky coastline. friendly people, many speak english.
The history and places to visit. Transport is easy by bus. Valletta is the place to stay, with so much available. Restaurants are fantastic, so many really good ones to choose from, booking is advised so as not to be disappointed.
Beautiful harbour. Ancient buildings with a fascinating history. Lots to see. Local buses are brilliant for getting round the island and exploring. Visit Mdina (get off at Rabat Bus station) Several excellent restaurants... both in Valletta and Mdina! Book John Farrugia for your taxi to and from the airport..lovely man and a super taxi service.
Try the ferry to Sliema! The Terrace restaurant there offers great view over Valletta and super delicious food. In Valleta, worth to try the Malta experience as a start. Easy to get around on foot, for island trips a car is advisable.
My wife and I recently spent 3 days in Valletta and chose to stay at The Coleridge. We arrived very early but were greeted with a warm reception and were able to leave our luggage to go for a stroll until the room was ready. We booked the Fayette room with a hot tub and it entirely exceeded our expectations – the hotel’s own website really does not do this room justice. The room leads out onto a large terrace with seating, then steps up to a further level where there is the tub and sun loungers. There is plenty of outside space and it feels very private. The building across the road appears vacant so you aren’t overlooked. For the cost, I would say this room provides excellent value. The L’Occitane toiletries are a nice touch also. Breakfast is a cold buffet – cereal, meat, pastries, yoghurt, fruit and toast are available with decent machine coffee and a good selection of teas. The staff were excellent, helping us make arrangements for each day we were there. A list of suggested restaurants was provided and we ate at two, Guze Bistro and Rampila - one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday. The former was very good, while the latter I cannot recommend (although we were consistently comparing it to the previous night which was near perfect). Valletta itself is a beautiful, interesting city and The Coleridge is situated in a quiet suburban area a few minutes walk from the centre. There is a nice row of bars one street along on Strait Street. We had cocktails at Alchemy which were delicious. Another highlight was walking around Spazju Kreattiv, a public creative space that was showing some very interesting exhibitions including a degree show for the University Of Malta Fine Art Programme in Digital Arts. The building is stunning, inside one of the ramparts of the city walls, and was almost empty.
Loved this place! We stayed in one other hotel during our time in Malta two weeks ago, but this is definitely the one I’d recommend! The staff is beyond accommodating/hospitable. The rooms are so cool- like a magazine editorial. After a 21-hour, 3-flight trek to Malta, we took a very relaxing bath in the sleek round bathtub. Bed was large and super comfy. We purchased the breakfast option with our room: well worth it! The cute hotel cafe had fresh baked croissants, pastries, breakfast cakes, a selection of cheeses, fresh orange and watermelon juices in addition to made-to-order mixed juices and made-to-order customizable omelettes. All was delectable! My favorite was the literal honeycomb near the breads for you to dip your own fresh Maltese honey—divine. Went out and bought Maltese honey to take back home with me that day. Really cool terrace on the roof with a bar and nice views of the city and the water. There’s also a small wading pool.
Fantastic hotel we cannot fault the friendliness service ambience or comfort of the rooms. This is an exceptional hotel and the staff go out of their way to make you feel special. Nothing was too much trouble they are all a credit to the hotel and some of the best service we have had in any hotel world wide. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would like to also mention the breakfast is delicious and it included prosecco which was a lovely touch.10 out of 10 for everything.
This hotel is so special. Every room has a feeling of history and unique, thoughtful, and delightful decor with elements of surprise! Wonderful breakfast, staff, housekeepers. Beds firm and comfortable. Feels cozy and elegant. Perfect location. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Valletta.
