This hotel really surpassed my expectations! Every member of staff was so polite and friendly and most even knew my name and room number. Dinner and breakfast was from a set menu, unlike the buffet meals I had experienced at other hotels. The food was unbelievable (especially the beef tenderloin) and was a beautiful candlelit meal by the sea. I arrived late, after lunch had been served, and there was no food but the chefs were so kind enough to make something just for me The infinity pool overlooking the beach was beautiful and the beach is more private and quieter here making it my preference over the nearby flic en flac beach. A fantastic experience, would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday by the sea! Thank you to all here for making my stay so memorable

This hotel is a real gem! New building in an amazing location just across from a lovely white sand beach in Flic en Flac. My room was HUGE and had a large balcony facing g the ocean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of variety of food. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

The apartment is great, it's located just a few minutes walk to Flic en Flac beach, on a quiet, safe street. it has everything you need for a self catering stay - fridge, cooker, kettle, microwave etc. The water is hot and the WiFi works well. The apartment is quite cool during the day but I did use the aircon at night which worked very well, there's also a fan. I loved having breakfast on the balcony and it was useful to be able to dry clothes. The family who own the apartments and live downstairs are very friendly. You can park easier on the street outside the house. It's a great place to stay!

Krishna, the manager and his teams went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Both of my companions are disabled, the team went out of their way to help us by wheeling them everywhere they desire . The food is excellent with exotic variety. Services are top-notch.

We had such a lovely stay at Mountain View Retreat! The family was incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location is perfect – close to the sea but still very peaceful. It didn’t feel like staying in a hotel, more like being at home. We would definitely love to come back!

    Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

    Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius,...

    Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

    We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.

    Good vibe, nice restaurants, felt safe, fantastic snorkeling opportunities from the beach, convenient shopping mall at Cascavelle for groceries, etc. Proximity to Tamarin to catch catamaran trip. As a family of 5 we rented a car, which worked out very well. Taxis are expensive if you want to get around with 5 people, simply to do shopping, etc.

    Very pretty beach for a swim or picnic, parking can be tricky so if you see a spot take it :), the sand is soft but there is some coral on the beach and water if you have sensitive feet pack some water shoes. Lovely location for a swim and relax.

    Flic-en-Flac offers not a fancy stay, but congenial, friendly, and economical environment. Swimming in the ocean or taking a mile long running along the shore allows visitors to stay in good health while traveling. This is one of the very rare spot visitors get to mingle with Mauritian residents more closely, unlike in other fancy hotels. FNF is relatively a residents' beach retreat with great sunset scene.

    We felt at home plus luxury hotel room comfort. Every facility from coffee machine to the beach chairs was kindly provided and it was far above our expectations considering the reasonable price. Johanna and Cecile were always in contact with us to ensure a comfortable stay, and we cannot express enough their courtesy and friendliness. We had an overall dream vacation in lovely Mauritius and we truly suggest this place as the first and best choice to stay for everyone without hesitation

    If you’re looking for a place to stay in Mauritius - don’t look any further! This is the perfect place! Loved everything about it, super nice apartment, very close to the beach, shops and restaurants close by. The apartment has got everything you need, I loved the balcony and it was super handy to have a washing machine as well since I was staying for a longer period. The owner is so incredibly kind and always available to answer questions and very helpful. 10000 % recommended

    This very well appointed apartment was very close to the beach and the local restaurants. It was very well equipped for self catering and is maintained to a very high standard. Communication with our hosts Kurt and Rose was excellent and they really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They gave us lots of useful tips to help make our stay very enjoyable. If we ever return to Mauritius we would certainly stay there again.

    The accommodation is very comfortable for a great price, there are large rooms, plenty of storage space, a hairdryer, and a well-equipped kitchen. The air conditioning worked without problems. The owner was willing to help and advise with everything. If we go to Mauritius again, we will be happy to come back here.
