This hotel is a real gem! New building in an amazing location just across from a lovely white sand beach in Flic en Flac. My room was HUGE and had a large balcony facing g the ocean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of variety of food. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

My husband and I were very happy to stay. If you want to have a luxury experience then this place isn't the place to be for you. It is like a homestay, there's everything you need. The location is really good, the beach and restaurant are walking distance (within 7 min) The hosts are really friendly and helpful. Some reviews said the internet speed is low. But I could work smoothly(I didn't use video or voice call though) We didn't use kitchen for cooking. Gus stove with oven and pots are there. The washing machine isn't attached inside of your room, but it is outside for use. I am sure we will be back here if we come to Mauritius again !

Hotel has the best location, it is on Flic en Flac beach, where it has the best view that you can get over Le Morne. There are several big names hotel along the same beach (hilton, maravandi villas, sofitel, sugar beach, la pirogue), but none of these have the view that Sands Suites have. Also the beach is much better integrated to the hotel with the infinity pool next to it, in comparison with the other hotels, which are somehow separated hotel versus beach. Rooms are very big, very comfortable, bathroom is something special, very big, with a big dressing included, a separate (with door) wc, both shower and bath tub provided. A special note for the personnel, which are very professional, very well mannered. Sports equipment included.

The location was really convenient, good access to the beach, shops and restaurants. A perfect place to relax and unwind. The host’s hospitality really stood out, from the warm check-ins to the thoughtful touches like fresh fruits and breakfast snacks that made me feel right at home. The host had all the information I needed about the surroundings, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. I also appreciated the quiet environment and the overall convenience for a tourist vacation stay. Everything was just as described. I’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Nice beach , lots of trips available . You really need a car or book trips if your staying any length of time as nothing much else to do . No nightlife during the week only Friday and Saturday otherwise everywhere shuts at 10pm

Lovely resort. Great beach. Gets very crowded at weekends. The beach is not quite as good as some of the beaches in the north, but it is still beautiful. Quite upseting to see the amount of litter left on the beach and traffic around the resort was sometimes an issue. But the location is great and the western sunsets are stunning! Our favourire restaurant was Mosaic, serving typical Mauritian food alongside a standard menu with burgers, pizzas and pasta with friendly service from Daniel and team. Casela Safari Park nearby is a good day out, and a day trip to the east to visit Iles aux Cerfs was a highlight of our stay.

The beach outside Sands and the other hotels are beautiful, unspoilt white sands, however the public beach part further north is busier with people and cars on the road, and lots of fast food vans, cheap bars etc.

Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius,...

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.

We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.

The hotel is brand new and the place is spacious. It has its own swimming pool with a filter that runs all day! There was a guy come to clean the pool during our stay.I feel very safe and happy to let my little kids go swimming there! The landlord, he is a very accommodating and friendly person. He answers my question as soon as he sees it. And always ready to help. We are delighted to be living in his cozy and lovely home. We would definitely come back when we visit Mauritius again!

It is an amazing place with two stories and four bedrooms. The swimming pool is huge. There is a guard and a cleaner of the swimming pool. The beach is very close and the supermarket is big and also close ( you can walk 10-15. min. but we always took a car). The owner is super friendly. He made sure we got evrything we asked for extra. He was also sending us material on what to see in Mauritius even after we already moved to another location. Compliments.

The best property we stayed on Mauritius. The location is superb, it has pool, secured parking, spacious apartment, clean, well equipped kitchen, separate loo, we got coffee, washing liquid, shower gel- all of it was not available in previous accommodations. Thank you- it was great!
