Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. The food was not very good, and the room was very basic and the bed was extremely uncomfortable and with low quality sheets. Le Morne is a national park and an imposing background to several luxury hotels. We admired it from the beach only and did not attempt the climb. There is not much else to do in the area apart from relax at one of the hotels - unless you wind surf. We had a car and did not find much in the way of shops or restaurants. If you do not have a car (I did not have one!), you can kayak to Ile aux Benitiers or to Paradise Resort and swim there. You can also snorkel or kayak from the island to Cristal Rock (no need to pay for a boat tour). Pipine has kayaks in her wonderful garden, she is a fantastic host and an excellent cook.
