Riu Palace Maldivas- All Inclusive features a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and bar in Dhaalu Atoll. This is a new resort - it differs from other hotels I have been before. In RIU you will not see wooden villas and pathways, everything is modern and concrete. 🛖We stayed at the overwater villa and it was a great experience - the room was very clean with new furniture and other amenities, soundproof was perfect, we have never been disturbed by any sounds from the outside. Even on terrace we have never heard our neighbors. Ocean view is the best, we saw baby sharks, turtle and eagle ray passing by our villa. 🍉 The food was amazing, this is my first all inclusive experience in Maldives and I was a little bit worried about the quality or variety of both meals and drinks, but luckily I was so wrong. We enjoyed our food in buffet restaurant and even didn't go to a la carte restaurants. Everything was fresh and tasty, always. I especially enjoyed mango, papaya, citrus fruits, maracuja, green salads like in Europe with a great dressings, different kinds of cheese for any meal like salad or sandwich or I could even make a cheese platter with nuts and honey for my wine. Indian cuisine corner was also very good and different every time. Different types of fish, fresh shrimps and octopus, lamb, beef, chicken, turkey, burger patties, Chinese noodles and cream soups, all kind of eggs in the morning and a very nice selection of wine and champagne. I don't have a sweet tooth but I remember so many desserts, chocolate fountain and ice cream. 🛎 The service was also very welcoming and friendly, and absolutely unobtrusive - we always got what we wanted /needed any time of the day or night without additional efforts.

All the staff were super friendly and accommodating even to the rude guests which to my surprise there were lots of! We had so many favourites and I wouldn’t want to miss anyone off but our waiter in the ocean restaurant, the main man at the pool bar and house keeping were all super friendly! They work very long hours and a bit of kindness and a little tip here and there from guests wouldn’t hurt! Room lovely and clean our house keeper was very efficient and friendly. we did have a leak with our aircon one night when we had a storm but this cleared up quickly. Well timed shuttle services over to the island.

The hospitality and friendliness of all the staff is second to none never quite experienced anything like it anywhere else. They truly go above and beyond. Special thank you Imthi - the one and only - who made sure we had the time our life, and became a friend while doing so. I was fortunate enough to get engaged on the island, so to the ones who made it unbelievably romantic - the Chef Samah who served us delicious dishes, Joy, Azim and Oreo who captured the moment and gave us stunning photos (you can see below how WOW they are), and again our beloved Imthi who made it all happen - THANK YOU! I don’t usually like visiting the same place twice but I certainly will be back to niyama, that’s for sure!
