Set in Male City, 300 metres from Artificial Beach, Samann Grand features a terrace and views of the city. Everything else was great! Fantastic service by very friendly and knowledgeable Staff. Room size was small but manageable (all hotels in Male have small room sizes). View from the room is good. There are two Mosques close by (one right opposite), but there was no disturbance with the prayers. It is actually very calming to hear the prayers. Location is just perfect!

Male is a busy city. It is cool to see the local life and taste some local food for maybe 1-2 days but it is probably a mistake to stay for more than 2-3 days here. If you are staying here longer, booking some activities like resort day trips or snorkeling trips would be the best, which are out of Male :)
I have read that people have a better quality of life when they believe they have abundant blessings and are thankful. This trip which experienced how the local live was a great reminder of our (my) blessings. At the airport I waited behind a family that was overweight, they came from a resort, and they had a skinny local lug around all their luggage. I wanted to say the the 40 yr old 300 lb father to stop acting so American but I bit my lip appreciating my perspective. Tip generously to the humble polite locals. Reminder that all major religions teach us to treat others as we want to be treated ourselves. Remind yourself of that everytime you deal with others. Shalom.
Maldives is undeniably a beautiful country, an excellent place to relax, have a nice quiet time with a loved one and most of all, if it’s an excellent place for water sports for individuals who are into water sports. However its quite an expensive place to visit and can get really boring as their isn’t so much outside water sports and dining. Further more if you are a born tourist who enjoy site seeing and all what not, then the Maldives might not be the perfect place to go. In my opinion, the only way the Maldives can be ideal is if you are really into relaxation while on a trip.
Little crowded island, I would skip it next time. Anyways, considering the number of people and narrowness of the streets the trafic is quite safe. I was not afraid that motorbikes will run me over, drivers here are more considerate than in Morocco or Asia.
Male is noisy and crowded, some locals said us it's boring. One can see all the places worth visiting within few hours. Very nice Sultan Park. Unfortunately - due to coronavirus - museum and gallery were closed.
I like Maldives. But in Male is too much dirty. A lot of traffic jam and there are no rules on the roads. It’s not easy to cross road when you are new here. Not too much rooftop restaurants and now top view excursions. There are no good quality of shopping there. A lot of products from China with not good smell. A lot of Indians spicy food(
The hotel was located very close to the airport. The airport transfer was very smooth. The check-in process was swift and efficient. The staff were great. The rooms were well-proportioned and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was less than optimal. There were no dental kits provided, but were provided instantly with a simple call to housekeeping. Excellent breakfast in the morning; a great spread of continental and cooked breakfast. Beautiful, well-maintained hotel and grounds. Great, comfortable overnight stay. :)

He will help you in all sort of things. Best Guesthouse i ever lived in. Thanks for making my stay worth. If i ever comeback again to Male, i am definitely choosing this property.

Everything was perfect. My grade is 10, especially because the manager helped me out with taxi service, luggage, information, and printing the documents I needed for my way back home. Contact was established very quickly, and Nawaz is exceptionally professional, as well as a very kind person. It's a perfect option for an overnight stay in Malé city, far from the resorts but closer to the Maldivian life in the capital. It is definitely worth it. Shoukrya.🙏

Nice breakfast, very very clean, fast service and kind staff. We stayed there only for one night, but it was totally worth it. The front desk clerk was very knowledgeable and gave us a big overview about the History of Maldives, its culture and tips on what to see in Male. We would definitely go back!

Fantastic helpful staff, great location, high quality food and accommodations in a boutique hotel that is just perfect if you need to stay a night or two in Male. I stayed one night before and one night after a scuba diving trip and the staff were exceptionally helpful to arrange my stay.
Great location and service. 15 mins walk to Male City Centre. Very close to a food court with a variety of cuisines. There was an issue with Wifi and TV in our room. The staff rectified it quickly and gave us a room with better WiFi connections.

I'll just start with a simple fact. We initially planned to stay in this hotel for 4 nights. Then we stayed here for another 10 nights, then we left, and after another few nights we *returned here*. I think that speaks for itself, but okay let's go on with the appraisals. The atmosphere on the whole island is relaxed, very pleasant and welcoming. Whatever you need, you say it to the staff and they will accommodate. KYC is amazing here; all staff know all small details about the guests and it really helps them provide you the best imaginable experience. The villa we had was with a jet pool and a private pool; the quality is stunning. You are in a little piece of paradise during your stay. The food is pricy here but oh my god it is worth every penny. The quality is extreme. The breakfast is very rich, the meat is unexplainably well cooked - it kinda goes along with the info they have 3 chefs plus additional highly trained staff to make it. Everywhere you go, you are met with a smile and sincere readiness to help and make your rest there unforgettable. We had a very good feeling interacting with everybody from the staff. There's a local dive center. We came in a difficult time for the dive center thanks to Corona, but the staff organized us the instructor from the next island, Angsana Ihuru, who came and carried out everything necessary to organize the diving and the teaching the OWD diving course. Speaking about diving, they organize the trips to many dive sites around, some even pretty far out there (~50 minutes by boat), and many dive sites here are really marvelous even for an experienced diver. The instructor Hamdhan is very calm and knowledgeable and teaches professionally; other guys from the dive center are amazing too (hi Viju!). Quality of the reef - very good! A lot of variety of fish, and as addition there are reef sharks (small to medium size, harmless) that can be seen any time you go out to snorkel; harmless, do not worry.

The resort is like a paradise, everywhere there is a unique place that you can enjoy! The snorkling and diving experience is exceptional and the food is very good. The light house dining experience is 5 stars! The staff and personal hostess is such a great idea to get used to the place and Yum was lovely at getting everything organised. She had so much care and personal touch through the whole experience!
Stayed there for one night before heading to the islands. It's a decent hotel to spend the night. The rooms are big and quite comfortable and the staff is friendly. They offered us a fruit plate on arrival, a nice gesture!
The room had a breathtaking view. The front desk staff Rina had a beautiful and welcoming smile.
