I loved that I was able to do everything in one place, sleeping, eating, enjoying the beach and water sports (a rental place just next to the hotel). The food of the hotels restaurant is really good. They were very flexible with check in and check out and organized transportations from Malé and back.

MoroccoThe communication was excellent even before my arrival. The owner was incredibly kind and went out of his way to help me, even carrying my board from the boat station to the room.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and well thought out, with plenty of storage and hanging space. The bed was very comfortable, making for a great stay.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the hosts were always available on WhatsApp if I needed any assistance.
Overall, a wonderful experience — warm hospitality, comfort, and great service. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in...
I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement.
The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)!
Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!).
I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive!
Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus.
Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!

The beach is beautiful.
The beach is beautiful. I´m afraid it would be too crowded in a couple of years as the contruction of new buildings on the island is massive.
Would be nice to remove the hakenkreuz that is sprayed on the wall in the harbor. Not a nice welcome sign for tourists.

I would recommend Thulusdhoo as a holiday destination for a beach holiday for a few days only. It's going to get boring quickly. But as a diving destination and as an introduction to the Maldives, Thulusdhoo has my absolute recommendation.
There are numerous hotels and restaurants on the island. You really have plenty of choice.
You should take enough US dollars with you as a means of payment. Euros are also fine. Credit cards are only accepted to a limited extent.
The inhabitants of the island are very friendly.

This island is perfect if you are looking for a genuine...
This island is perfect if you are looking for a genuine Maldivian experience. It offers perfect tropical beaches, insane turquoise waters, and great surfing for those who surf. My ten year old and I used a stand up paddle board to explore while my husband surfed and in the evenings we would walk the charming sandy "roads" of the village and try out the incredible local restaurants.
Utterly safe and peaceful, we loved exploring.
Our guest house, Iru, was a dream! We went on the snorkeling excursions which were outstanding and a Must Do! Like snorkeling in an aquarium!!!
The locals were friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to be on holiday without the constant sales pitches so often experienced in other places.
We will definitely be back to Thulusdhoo!

Its inhabitted island with 1500 local citizens.
Its inhabitted island with 1500 local citizens. Its 5km in circuit - I run it.
its close to Male - 30min by speedboat - cost 25$/person.
Had no isuse with local people, all nice ot at minimum neutral.
Island has 2 bikini beaches, Dream Beach - the one close to sunset beach I enjoyed more. Water crystal clear, nice very gentle white sand.
on island several restaurants - you can find the one used also by locals and few more turist popular.
There is no reef but no issue to go for snorekling routes.
There is couple of bigger buildings in process to be build up - suppose more hotels.
Island is popular among surfers -but I do not surf so cant judge posibilities.
Locals could care more about the surroundings, general cleanliness could be far much better. Same as lack of garbage bins and recycling of plastic bottles.

Sanjay welcomed us with a great smile and was extremely available to answer any questions during our whole stay. We booked a room with sea view and it was great, although quite simple. When compared the other hotels in the island, Samura seems to be a lot more expensive, which I was ok with until I got there and realised we could have stayed in similar places paying a lot less. In any case, we had a really great stay and I can't thank enough Sanjay for this extreme sympathy!! I definitely recommend staying here.

If you want to go to the Maldives on a budget, this is a perfect stay. Thulusdhoo is a nice little island with all the facilities you may expect. Midsummer is in the heart of the island, everything is closeby ofcourse. Rooms are spacious, beds are okay and shower is great.

Location was quite central although the island is small but its well located, close to the sea and a short walk to shops and cafe so ideal for me. I have been to Thulusdhoo before and would be happy to go and stay at iHaven again.
