Costa RicaAmazing property, we stayed in the Amanecer Cabin and it was beautiful! The Peña just in front of the Cabin. Super Comfty beds, staff was super nice and helped us order food, fixed our internet and provided extra towels. Jacuzzi worked great! Breakfast was delicious, gorditas made there!! Walking distance from town, it is steep!

United StatesWe stayed just one night, but from the moment we arrived, we were saying, "We should have stayed two nights!" We loved this hotel. We got a room with a view and WOW the view of the Pena did not disappoint. The room was big, bathroom was big.
We got the room with the jacuzzi and balcony, and it was the perfect way to unwind after climbing the giant rock and walking all over the place.
Location is great. It's less than a 2-minute walk from where the bus drops you from Queretaro, and a 5- to 7-minute walk into the centro/Pena. Right next to a well-appointed convenience store that is open til 11p.m.
The wine in the room was such a nice touch.
Jacuzzi was so relaxing, wi-fi functioned well enough in the room and on the patio. Room was sparkling clean, and the property is beautiful and well maintained.
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They were also kind enough to let us stash our bags on our final day after checkout and before the bus left.

United StatesThis is a family owned and operated hotel which makes it special and personal even though it is not a hotel in a building that looks like an old house. The two brothers we met, Juan and Rafa, were wonderful, friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like family. The room was simple but spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The patios and terraces, on several different levels, were beautiful affording good views of Bernal's famous monolith and the dome of the church in the center of town. Breakfast is cooked to order, there is a lovely lounge with a large- screen TV and the ability to make tea or coffee round the clock. The hotel provides an airport shuttle any time. The family also owns The Rocca restaurant in town. We had traditional Mexican food there suggested by Juan and also some of the freshest, most delicious pizzas we have ever had.

Very nice town and location.
Very nice town and location. People being the downside of the trip, it may be that they got it easy with many people going there so they don’t have to be friendly nor serviceable. Or they are just tired of getting crap from tourists but this location is a long way from the level of service you see in many other places in México.

Nice little town.
Nice little town. However, our entire schedule was disrupted by non empathic police officers. There was a tricky no-parking sign on the other side of the street which applies for both sides. They removed our plates (along with 4 other tourist vehicles) for parking on a prohibited place and asked to go pay the ticket to another town (30 min driving). I arrived to the place in 30min and they said I had to wait for more than 90 minutes until the police officer bringing my plates, arrives at the place. Short story, they literally said “we are gonna help you by making an exception, and will attend you today (not until next Monday), but you have to wait several hours”. 4 hours later, I finally was able to get my plates and decided to leave the town so I won’t need to face again with those horrid “public servers”. As most police officers, they only want money without thinking that tourism is what holds this place economy. Won’t ever come back.

I had Diamant Room with spectacular views, little kitchen with micro wave and nothing else, super clean and nice room with terrace. Very well built hotel with steel structure. 7 minutes walk from city center.
