Located in Cancún, a 4-minute walk from Playa Gaviota Azul, Selina Cancun Laguna Hotel Zone has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. Geraldo, Anna, Jorge and all the staff who treated me like gold. Staff who truly became my family. Leaving Mexico was hard, leaving all of you hurt so much. I cried like a baby at the airport. I have never been treated so well or with a{ much love as by these staff people. They went above and beyond for me every single day. All the staff at Selinas work so hard. The place is spotless and they are constantly making it better. More plants, more tables, more places to relax. I adore this place. The other travellers I met while here. I will see you all on IG. The awesome kitchen. A place to cook and a place to share your day. The grounds. As I said...always improving, always welcoming. The iguanas are fun....just don't hand feed. They might think your fingers are lunch. The room. It was beautiful. Only a few travellers ruined it with their disrespect. Anyone who complains about the grounds of staff was a jerk and possibly told to be respectful. Otherwise. ..this is a hostel but more like a resort. I want to come home to Selina Hotelzone Cancun as soon as possible. You all are my family now. For more details...see my other review. I extended by 2 days and so get to tell you all how much I love you, twice.

Courtyard by Marriott Cancun is a 5-minute drive from Cancun International Airport and offers a free round trip airport shuttle service, available 24 hours. Great hotel to rest after a very long flight from Europe! Rooms are clean and tidy. The garden is great, with hammocks and a very nice pool. We would highly recommend the breakfast buffet! The chef makes the most amazing enchildas. Pickup service was nice. Altough there were some miscommunications on our side, as we were texting Fairfield instead of Courtard (theyre both Marriot and next to eachother). A reply on our messages would be nice instead of ghosting us.

You need at least some basic Spanish, otherwise you will have a tough time. The city is surprisingly clean and organized, I was not expecting that. I was enjoying local food and drinks, you can also have a good shopping in Chidraui supermarket. Lot of local stuff there at reasonable prices.
Been here a few times, my girlfriend got Covid and they were no help at all to try and accommodate her at all!! Ending up move down the road to another motel until was able to pass test and fly home. No more Mexico for us. Also I got some bad food and had diarrhea for 3 days just wasn’t the trip for us this time.
Cancun isn't really Mexico to me. Please travellers- forget Senor Frogs and venture away from the coast! Try Valladolid, Merida or Mexico City! Or at least Isla Mujeres. Hard to find real Mexican food here. Hard to find peace and quiet.
WHAT THIS HOTEL ADVERTISED IS UTTER NONSENSE. THEIR IS NO COMFORTABLE SEATING. NO IRON .NO ELECTRIC KETTLE..NO BBQ ON TERRACE. THE MATTRESS WAS FILTHY AND FULL OF HOLES. BED BUGS. COCKROACHES. WE HAD 4 SUITCASES AND ACCESS TO UPPER ROOMS WAS VIA A RICKETY SPIRAL STAIRCASE. NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE. NO SECURE PARKING. TINY BARFRIDGE THAT WAS FROZEN SOLID AND NEEDED DE FROSTING. WHERE PHOTOS SHOW A LARGE FRIDGE. A SINGLE HOT PLATE TO COOK ON WITH VERY LIMITED UTENSILS. TO MAKE A CUP OF TEA YOU BOIL WATER IN A BURNT SAUCEPAN. IT WAS LIKE CAMPING EXCEPT CAMPING YOU ARE ORGANISED AND WELL EQUIPPED. ALEX WAS HELPFULL BUT HIS HANDS WERE TIED. OUR ROOM WAS LIKE A PRISON CELL, NO DECORATIONS NOTHING TO MAKE IT ATTRACTIVE UNLIKE THE ADVERTS WHICH THEY SHOW CASE THEIR ROOMS.
Cancun is a beautiful Caribbean place. But unless you are in the 18-21 age range, there are other destinations in the Caribbean that are much nicer, less chaotic, and less expensive. First the arrival is chaotic. You come out of the airport to a shouting match over which taxi to take. All transportation options are overpriced and who can you trust? There is no Uber. Then you get to the Hotel Zone and it’s one sales pitch after another, and an eerie feeling you are getting ripped off every time you buy something. The strip of bars and clubs along the hotel zone is lively, but it’s a scene out of any beach on the East Coast of the United States. Cancun just doesn’t feel like Mexico. It’s essentially like an overpriced American beach where the drinking age is 18. If that’s what you’re looking for, then Cancun is perfect. If you are looking for a calmer, nicer, more Mexican experience, look towards the Pacific Ocean side of Mexico (I.e Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Cabo San Lucas) .
The food in Cancun is not to our taste and seems inauthentic a Mexican lady said that it was all fake and she is disappointed that they do not represent the true Mexican way she said that most Mexicans do not eat the awful food that they serve in most restaurants, there is no diversity for food it's all tacos, burritos and nachos that are like cardboard my wife is a vegetarian and they do not cater for her taste at all which is most disappointing for an evolving country. The beach is uninspiring, not many of the staff anywhere seem to speak any English at all especially in the shops, restaurants or bars considering that a lot of Americans, Canadians and British English speaking people go every year, most menus are in Mexican Spanish without any translation to English is problematic. Unfortunately Mexico is not for us they need to do much more to encourage tourism the footpaths are unwalkable forcing pedestrians out on the road the roads are disgraceful much of Cancun is full of litter, debris it is dirty and run down they need an army of Wombles to clean the place up. People who are disabled should completely avoid Cancun! The people are wonderful, drivers are very polite and mostly give way to pedestrians which is very nice.
Cancún
The hotel is very good, very friendly staff. We stayed for one week, but we did not have all inclusive, as we had trips around Cancun area almost every day. It took us around 20 minutes to get from and to the Airport, depending on the trafic(with taxi). Also, if you want to get around hotel zone or to go to downtown Cancun, you can take the bus which goes on the Main road, R1 or R2. The hotel also has a nice beach, but unfortunately, in the period we stayed the waves were quite big and almost all days we had a red flag.
Cancún
It was really good to be here with all these things that are around us like the lobby and the gift shop , the restaurants and all that good stuff . The service is great I mean it’s beyond great and also they follow COVID-19 rules very nice they are amazingly clean ; the rooms are clean even the floors are extremely clean we are so happy to be here and we are so lucky that we got to stay in this beautiful place with the best experience ever. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Mexico , Cancún.
I like the style and set up. Ability to meet many different people, in a safe manner as well. I stayed in a single room and it was very spacious, comfortable, and close to a lot of thing. They also offer a lot of amazing adventures (extra payment required) around Cancun and Mexico. The staff was amazing and super nice. Quick response to request. Highly recommend staying here if you visit the Hotel Zone in Cancun.
Cancún
We had access to the pools, spa, fitness center, and private beach. We were only 12 minutes from the Cancun strip, the taxi was never more than 20 American dollars. It was great & so was the view. We did not do all inclusive we ate at the fancy restaurant across the street which I highly recommend. Then there’s another spot right next to there which is pretty nice. This place is affordable and beautiful!
The resort is beautiful! Absolutely stunning. The staff is so kind and helpful. The drinks were great. For being all inclusive it’s definitely worth it. Made a reservation for the chefs tasting menu (separate cost) and I must say that was my favorite part of the resort! The food and chef was exceptional!! Definitely a must try if you book this hotel. It’s also only a five minute walk from the strip.
Cancún
Beautiful hotel with amazing views over the beach and pools Really friendly and helpful staff We loved the food, particularly in the Italian restaurant which was fantastic You can have room service once a day, which was brilliant for breakfast the morning after coco bongos! No obligation to tip as it’s included in the price of your stay (if all inclusive)
All the food and beverages were top shelf, much better selection than most all inclusives. the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the facilities were impeccable. Also you received a 30 minute hydrotherapy session every day included with the cost. This was the nicest resort I’ve stayed at in Cancun and I’ve visited quite a few.
Service was impeccable. Our stay exceeded expectations. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable. The convenience of all inclusive was amazing! The coffee shop was one of my favorites- activities by the pool so much fun!!!! Can't speak more highly than 5 stars!!! Thank you Panama Jack's. We will be back!!!
Cancún
It's a nice place, quiet and cheap to stay in Cancún, however it wasn't what I was looking for in my last night in Mexico, a bit far from the centre and hotel area, and the pool wasn't available. Nothing against the hostel, the place is ok, I was just looking for another kind of accomodation.
Unlike many of the all inclusive resorts in the hotel strip that are very strict, this option, although not adult-only, did not close the pool earlier than 9, did not police the beach too heavily, and it was peaceful and relaxing. Just the right amount of people to feel comfortable.
Cancún
Breakfast is enough, There is a parking spot, we have already rent a car and I recommend everyone to renct a car who is traveling to Cancun or Mexico, There are markets nearby and a shopping mall but it is far from the Hotel zone
Like always fiesta americana Coral beach is the best place to stay but this all inclusive is not something we are used in this type of Hotel. don’t get me wrong we understand but the quality of people arriving is not the same.
The hotel is downtown, right across from ADO, so perfect if you need to travel to the airport or are going on from Cancun. Also, the staff is exceptionally friendly, especially the waiters in the dining room.
The location is great, especially for those who are gonna travel by land the next morning and planning to stay near the airport for a night. Price for the food is expected as its not an all inclusive hotel.
I booked an appartment for 4 days. And now im booking for 8 more days. I give the staff 5 stars and the hotel 5 stars. Everthing is awsome. Next time im in cancùn ill sure whill book this place again🙂
Nice hotel for people who arrive in Cancun late and only stay for one night. Close to the airport. Surronded by Wallmart, Starbucks & some restaurants. Nice staff.
Hotel was all inclusive but it has set hours for serving drinks and food. The beach is rather small. Breakfast was delicious. I feel it was okay for the money.
Hotel is close to airport, so convenient for late arrival to / early departure from Cancun
It's a decent hotel, close to Cancun airport.
Cancún
The ocean view from the room was amazing. We like the large swimming pool and the beach front sun beds.
