Jocotepec is a small traditional Mexican town on the shores of Lake Chapala. There are some stores along the main highway. The central square in the town is classically Mexican, with some charm. The neighborhoods that comprise the town are old and rundown, and the housing we saw for residents reminds one that not all of us have beautiful homes, backyards and pools. The location could not be more convenient, and the staff was friendly, dedicated, and helpful. The room decor was gorgeous and everything was immaculately clean, as if never used. We were lucky to have the place nearly to ourselves so enjoyed how quiet the property was. A short walk from the malecon, there's plenty to do in this small town.
