Morelia is a fabulous town, with great architecture and a friendly vibe. We stayed on one of the main streets, within easy walking distance of the historical centre. There's a couple of restaurants with rooftop dining overlooking the Cathedral. Morelia is a stunning city.
Morelia is a stunning city. The people are friendly and kind. Speaking Spanish is important as most locals do not speak English. Morelia is the home to the arts of all kinds. I have been to the symphony, theater, choir performances, all sorts of dancing, lectures, artisan shows, and more. This is NOT a city for a whitewashed experience. If you love the true culture of Mexico, this is the city for you. In Morelia you will find a plethora of universities, beautiful parks, a large zoo, a planetarium, large malls for shopping, hiking and biking places and artists everywhere.
