Stunning location. The owner is so incredible nice, brand new rooms are thoughtful and comfortable and insanely clean. Stunning rooms right on the water —— away from the center of San Carlos town (you don’t want to stay there bc the smell from the cannery is strong). Super experience and very secure. Clean comfortable beds, lots of blankets and pilllws, very nice hot showers with good flow. Owner also gave me great restaurant recommendations and was very accommodating. If you are coming for a tour or expedition in Mag Bay I think this is the nicest hotel in the area!

What an amazing experience! Everyone was so nice, the place was clean and inviting with soft blankets, lots fluffy towels, bathrobes, lots of nice touches. Food around there was amazing! The tour we booked was so memorable. The boat came to get us here and drove us to the water, brand new boat and guide. Sand dunes, bay and mangroves were beautiful, we saw dolphins and looked for whales off season. I'd definitely come back. Super family friendly too. Would book the tour with them again too, it was such a warm and personal experience, I'm glad we didn't go with a bigger more famous company.

San Carlos is a great place for whale watching and fishing.

San Carlos is a great place for whale watching and fishing. We were able to do both with the Friendly Whale Tours company associated with the Whale Tours Hotel Vista Mag Bay... a fantastic day on the water provided by Juan Carlos and Pepe (from the hotel). We were very lucky to be at the right place at the right time with the right hosts. Thank you very much !!

San Carlos is a quaint Mexican town with friendly people.

San Carlos is a quaint Mexican town with friendly people. We came for the whale watch and booked through Magdalena Bay Whale Watching. It was very expensive for what the experience was, but glad to have done it. Jesus, who drove us to the start was a wonderful person...kind, caring and attentive. Our captain/guide was Christian and he was great, really trying to give us the best experience.....one close whale encounter and then just a lot of tail flukes as the whales were diving.....perhaps the wrong time of the year for seeing more whales. With that said, we did get a great dolphin encounter for 20 minutes, met local fishermen, lots of seabirds, saw sea lions and walked the beautiful windswept dunes. Had a great lunch at "Restaurant la Pasudita" when we first arrived.
