Valladolid is a lovely little Pueblo Magico with lots of charm. It is clean and easy to navigate by car or on foot, there are a lot of cenotes nearby(one right in the Centro) as well as the archiologico site Ek'Balam or Chichén Itzá close by. There were lots of places to eat yummy food, buy gifts and dive into the Yucatecán culture. The fact that the hotel was right in front of the main town square was key. All day Sunday there is a wonderful outdoor market in the square. The hotel's restaurant has excellent food and drinks. There's a rooftop bar/restaurant with very good food called Don Diablo above the hotel: make a reservation. The octopus was one of the best I've ever had. Tiny but really cute city. Nice cenote literally in the middle of the city, that's nice. Every day projection at 9pm on the couvent about Valladolid history for free that's really enjoyable.
