Everything! From the moment i made my booking, continous interaction on whatsapp. They suggested room 11, i proceeded and that was one of the best decision i ever made. Akinabalu is just right in front of our window nothing block the view! It was the best i swear!!! The resort landscape is top notch! Decoration, the flowers are super captivating. Staff was super helpful, when we arrived, the toilet floor is slippery. We asked staff to come and clean it. They do it right away and do it right The restaurant and the food?! OMG i want to steal your chef! I

    Kundasang is truly a gem in Sabah! Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and cool, refreshing air, it’s the perfect destination for a peaceful getaway with family. The scenic drive up is already a treat, and once you arrive, the lush greenery and serene atmosphere make it feel like a world away from the city. We enjoyed exploring local attractions like the Desa Dairy Farm, the Alpaca Club, the vegetable markets, and the beautiful gardens. The area is also rich in culture and history, with nearby memorial sites and traditional food experiences. One of the highlights was staying at a cozy homestay near Selera Kebun, where we got to enjoy authentic dishes like nasi linopot and gulai lemak cili padi rusa salai—a must-try for food lovers! Whether you're looking to relax, reconnect with nature, or enjoy local flavors, Kundasang offers a memorable experience for all ages.

    There are many places with a Mountain View, and there are...

    There are many places with a Mountain View, and there are also places for taking selfies - but you need to pay RM5 per entry - around the main roundabout at the centre of town. Halal food aplenty, but you need to confirm by checking the Google review - not all those wearing headscarves are Muslim and common names like Lidya can be misleading too. Do check out the Pasar Tamu Kundasang or morning market at the Night Market area - got to know new types of fruits like buah cinta, halia hutan, avocado cheese and so much more. You can buy cinnamon sticks for souvenirs to take home - long as a walking stick or short ready to use ones! A must-visit to Desa Dairy Farm for the fresh milk, yogurt, gelato & calf feeding!

    You can go up by using a small car but if you can, a car...

    You can go up by using a small car but if you can, a car with 1.5cc and above is better to climb many places. Try to be there before sundown as it tends to get foggy at night if raining, the town has it charms, the rivers are clean, and the people are good and honest. Lookup the places you want to stay in Google map first so you can decide your vehicle, some places quite steep to go up and park.

    At Kundasang you can have a visit to Jambatan Tamparuli, visit all nice kampung at Polumpong, Kota Belud area, visit Poring Hot Spring, Taman Rama-rama at Poring Hot Spring, Tamu, Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, Rumah Terbalik Kundasang.

    City people might can't get used to it.

    City people might can't get used to it. From the city to Kundasang takes around 2.5 hours with a long long hill road. The area has no entertainment place, after getting dark around 6pm, some streets are dark and without light. Most of the hotels and attractions are hidden in some spots, which need to get through bad street conditions. Kundasang could be the coolest place which only 14 to 20 degree celsius. However, it has the most beautiful scene of Mount Kinabalu during the early morning. For those never experience it, it is worth for a visit.

    The location is quite far, but worth the view depends on where you book your place to stay. So make sure you plan your transportation. If you want to drive by your own, please survey and make a research on how the road looks like and please be careful if you drive on your own. If you need transportation recommendation, you can also ask the locals, google (read the review), they can give you a contact to hire.
