Hana Guesthouse is located in Kuala Tahan and features a garden. There's a terrace and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. The room was large with an alcove which had a small table, chairs and fridge. The bathroom was fairly large and fairly well set up. The shower was good. The place was overall very clean and our room facilities were well maintained. The building in which we stayed had 4 rooms with decent A/Cs. It was quiet. There was a large balcony overlooking the playing field. It was in an area with a lot of greenery, birds, bush behind and beside it and a primary school playing field in front. It was a 500 metre walk from a wide variety of restaurants of which “Ann’s had the best food and the floating restaurants had the best ambience. Staff responded promptly to any requests and questions and were friendly.

MOCHI is located in Kuala Tahan. The resort features family rooms. At the resort each room comes with air conditioning and a private bathroom.
Kuala Tahan is a very nice and quiet place with friendly peoples around especially those who are in the foods business. Fishing & bathing activity can be done just at the river bank. The floating restaurant is nice, although some foods are very expensive. I don't see any BBQ stall apart from satay stall. During our trip the night safari was closed. Our trip to Kelah Sanctuary & Lata Berkoh is not worth it, we cannot bathing there because the water level rising due to raining at night and the water also murky. The tour operator did not mention anything about these before we book the boat. Luckily we park our car at upper side of the river bank otherwise we will have a free car wash in the morning as the water level of Sg Tembeling rising unexpectedly due to raining at night at the hulu area. Overall ..... very nice place to go and surely I will come again very soon this year but this time for Fishing Trip hahahahaha.
Small country town with all that this involves; several good eating places, and lots of accommodation places of varying standards; very friendly and helpful locals; great gateway to Taman Negara National Park.
Very good city for visiting Taman Negara. We did not do a multi-day jungle trek but Kuala Tahan is a good base for those and next time we will do one. We got some breakfast snacks in a stall over the school which are very cheap (1 MYR for 3 small doughnuts,...). Lunch and Dinner we took on the floating restaurants. We liked the Family restaurant the best!
Nice little town with some small restaurants and mini markets, lots of local tour operators to choose from. The rainforest is amazing, you can walk along on the boardwalk or find more rough tracks (watch out for the leeches). The jungle night walk is a unique experience, our guide was very professional and knowledgeable, with incredibly good eyes to spot animals I would have never noticed by myself!
it is really well organised. small town is relaxing and if you are looking for a big party every night it is wrong address. lots of restaurant to choose from. it could just be better connected with outside.
Amazing place, we would recommend to stay at least 3 nights so you have two full days to explore the rainforest. Well maintened trails with wooden deck, good excursion options. Book your excursion the day before or early in the morning as boats might be fully booked later. It is not at all as touristic as reviewers said. We met a few other tourists while hiking, but really just 2-3 families. The floating restaurants have great atmosphere and view and offer a wide selection of food ( including western) for good prices. We also loved the 2,5 hour boat ride backwards. You can arrive by bus from KL to Jerantut, than take a taxi for 100RM, so you have more time to explore and can save some money.
