Breakfast is absolutely amazing. Best food I've experienced at any hotel in my life. By itself a reason to return. Location cannot be beat. But try to request a room with a view. We stayed three times and the quality of the view varied from incredible, experience-changing view of the river and surroundings to a view of a wall. First 2 night stay we were upgraded for free to a suite and that really made our trip (but next two stays got less and then less good rooms; oh well).

This hotel located at Tabuan, easy to find the hotel. Surround with supermarket, restaurants around 1km. This hotel is very clean and smells good. The lift only allowed customers to go straight to their room level only. The receptionists are really friendly. This hotel allows us to have late check out until 5 pm by paying an extra RM 25. Room is spacious and clean. Aircond is functioning well. Lighting is very good. Water pressure is high. Toilet is clean. Iron need to request from the receptionist. Parking is provided. I really enjoy staying here. Will definitely come again

There was a balcony in my room. Its so relaxing after whole day working. A convenience store inside at ground level is great for customer and its a new refurbish hotel with modern design. Dont forget to visit cloud 9 rooftop bar.

    The Borneo Cultures Museum is worth the trip in itself, but in addition there is fabulous food, great festivals, temples, lots of history (the Rajah Brookes), good wildlife, and wonderfully hospitable people. Shopping for locally made curios is worthwhile here. A short hop from Kuala Lumpur and a real sense of the diversity that exists in Malaysia at a much lower cost than other parts of Malaysia.

    Kuching is clean, beautiful, hip and the people are genuinely kind and gracious by nature, from hotel staff, taxi drivers, patrons, and people on the street. For me, it combines the the cleanliness and efficiency of Singapore and a river walk of Melaka (but larger and cleaner) and a hip, artsy vibe like Ipoh and it is within a hour from incredible nature. I was impressed, and I want to visit again,.

    The downtown area has a great walkway by the river with many restaurants and shops. There are several tour companies offering tours of the many wildlife areas of Sarawak. Its a very pleasant area to relax and enjoy the Borneo culture.

    Great city to go sightseeing, around it there is tons of nature parks to cover, orangutan center is a must! Most of the parks require cash though. Food street markets are great, also safe for solo female travelers

    Underrated destination.

    Underrated destination. We ended up picking Sarawak over Sabah largely due to logistical reasons, but didn’t regret it for a second. Kuching itself is fairly small and quiet, but worth spending a couple days looking around. The Borneo Cultures Museum is fascinating in its subject matter, and world class in execution— great design, well written texts in English, and cool interactive installations. The city history and cat museum is quirky and cute, and there are loads of cat statues around town. The orchid garden is free, and certainly worth a look. The biggest selling point for Sarawak for me is that anything in the Kuching region is doable as a day trip. We rented a car for most of our stay, and went to Semenggoh, Bako NP, and the Buddhist Village, all within an hours drive from the city center, and highly recommended. Traffic is anarchic by European standards, but we didn’t encounter any scary or especially unsafe situations. Just keep your wits about you, and stay on the lookout for motorbikes. Not a destination for a beach holiday, but for history, culture, and nature, it was amazing. About a week in the region would be ideal.

    The location in the city centre makes it easy to go anywhere with ease, provided you have your own transport. Getting an e-hailing is easy too. The stylish interior design gives a chic vibe, and it is practically new hotel so everything is still spick and span. Check in was easy and fast, staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, I liked the coffee machine, and a better buffet spread (compared to the other 2 roxy hotels in kuching).

    Location near waterfront, attached above Merdeka shopping area very convenient for quick groceries with a small family, check in/check out was easy going process, hospitable & helpful hotel staff. Love the idea of refreshments at hotel lobby. Good food for breakfast. Their Laksa at breakfast is better than expected, really good!

Overall, the Riverside Majestic Hotel, Puteri Wing was amazing and superb. Worth every penny spent. You won’t regret. Easy access to Kuching Waterfront, just cross the road.
