South AfricaLehani is the best hostel I've been to, and I can't wait to go back. The setting is breathtaking, with direct access to the beach and a clear view of the bay. Seeing whales breaching while enjoying morning coffee, going for an impromptu swim or surf, or just strolling down the beach were all regular parts of my day. Beyond that, the rooms and communal areas are clean and well maintained, the shower was perfect (heat and water pressure), and clean drinking water is always available.
Ria and James are doing an amazing job of creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, friendly, and respectful hostel environment. Whenever I wanted peace and quiet, I could easily find a spot to relax or do some work. Similarly, there were many opportunities to join activities with the others -- making dinner together, playing cards, exploring the area, and even going on a catamaran day trip up the coast. They also go out of their way to ensure guests know what's going on in the town, and are able to make the most of their time in Tofo.
11/10 would recommend in a heartbeat.

FranceGreat place to stay in Tofo and meet other travelers. It is very well located, less than 3 minutes walk from the main market, and 1 minute walk from the beach. Sascha and Chris, the owners, are very welcoming and helpful. There is good wifi, the private room I had was clean and convenient, with a big mosquito net. The shared kitchen is very convenient and well furnished.

MozambiqueThe villas are very modern, very well made space. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, it has a full equipped kitchen and spacious varandas and it is very private.
The outdoor space is very cool, with a beautiful garden, very green scene with refreshing spots all over it.
The staff is very nice and helpful, they were readily available to assist.
The place is close to the center of tofo, you . There is a restaurant just close-by with good food and stunning sea view.
The beach is just 5 minutes from the Villas and is very easy to access it, we had no issues.
We really enjoyed our stay and wanted to extend for more. It is a nice property and well located, can be accessed by a non 4x4 car.
We do recommend and will definitely return to Cosybe.

Tofo beach area is beautiful.
Tofo beach area is beautiful. A perfect place to relax, swim and do yoga. You also have options to be more active with horse riding, scuba and snorkeling. The area is not commercialized which is rare and welcome!

The vibe of the place is amazing, the people are super friendly and there are a lot of nice places to eat. Overall it's a small beach town and I quite liked it. I also did a couple of days of diving with Liquid Diving, which was very nice as well.

Praia do Tofo itself is Paradise.
Praia do Tofo itself is Paradise.
However, avoid using LAM to travel at all costs. On our trip there one of our bags was simply left in Johanneburg and only reached us 3 days later. On our trip back, our flight was delayed for 18 hours and then cancelled with no indication of when a flight will be available. We had to charter a bus to get to Maputo to ensure we were home for Christmas. In both cases, LAM was extremely unhelpful. No information could be provided. Not even an apology was offered. To date we have not been able to secure a refund for the cancelled flight.

Great view..
Great view.. We booked for 3 nights stayed the first and then left.
Room smells like sewage at night.
Water from taps and in toilet is brown.
Safe does not work and could not be fixed. So nowhere to keep our important docs. RE car papers and passports.
Wind blowing through the doors at nights.
Restaurant is very slow. Only 3 tables wer full and waited almost 1h 25mins for supper.
We had a sleepless night. Reception did nothing to help. No manager on duty.
Sent a email to the property with no answer.
We drove 6 hours back to Bilene and booked for the remainder two nights.
One good thing here is the view.

Lovely beach/beach town roughly 8 hours outside of Maputo. Great beach resorts (with a variety of price points from backpackers to lodges), restaurants, and activities (scuba, surfing, boat safaris).

The beach is beautiful and the town offers everything tourists need: cafes, a tiny but well-stocked supermarket, a charming market, and restaurants in all price ranges. Everything is easily accessible on foot.
