I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek from April 11th to April 13th, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional service that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure every need was met with a smile. The facilities were top-notch, and the ambiance was both welcoming and relaxing. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and offered a perfect blend of comfort and style, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Windhoek. But what truly stood out was the food. The meals were nothing short of spectacular! Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dish was a delightful culinary experience—flavorful, fresh, and prepared with the highest standards. I really liked the hotel. It responded to the needs of my family. I travelled with husband and daughter and the hotel provided a spacious and very clean, familiar room. The staff is very communicative and helpful. It is very well located. We paid for breakfast which is served in a coffee very close, behind the hotel, and we love the menu. I fully recommend this hotel. Book and thank me later (lol).

We stayed in a Premier Villa and it was huge! Three big bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, plus an upstairs with a big table and a patio where we could watch birds and the occasional mammal. The food was great, huge portions or big buffet. It’s on a part of the game reserve with no dangerous animals so you can walk around safely. We saw ostriches, antelopes, hyrax and hare while walking or looking out our window. It’s part of a nonprofit that’s working to preserve and protect animals while working with the local community. We did the “Behind the scenes tour” which was really interesting and fun, loved the baboon walk! Really glad we stayed here!

Walking through the town felt safe. It is very clean, and people are friendly and helpful. The taxi, Lefa is brilliant! We used them quite a bit whilst here. We found the malls are impressive! The park in town was a breath of fresh air, clean and well policed. The people within the museums are informative and wow, they are free!

Be sure your traveling papers are complete, customs have sharpened their airport checks on your visiting or working documents. Know your accommodation address where you will be staying. We love to visit the historical places and old churches. Cafe Schneider - close to the Hilton & Avani hotels then Joe's beerhouse is the only option for Supper if you have your own transport but is relativly close to the mid center. we went for work so there was not realy time for a lot of activities or to explore them I suggest a visit to the tourism info center in central Windhoek will help a lot

Lots of shopping, food and a decent night life. While their I would recommend and evening in Berrylicious, and a meal at Windhoek sky. Prices everywhere are extremely reasonable and photo opportunity in abundance.

The proximity to the workshop venue (NAMFISA) and also to the mall. The shopping experience was fabulous, and I also found most Namibians to be warm and friendly. Windhoek is a great city, historically rich too!

InDrive in Windhoek makes getting round very easy.

InDrive in Windhoek makes getting round very easy. However the location markers seem tricky - either drivers can't find you or the time indicated in the App is not correct. Ordering food ahead and going to collect at restaurants made evenings after work very easy. The Col'cacchio restaurant at Grove Mall had a fabulous view of the setting sun over drinks or dinner. Loved that aspect! Grove Mall has everything you would need by the way.

Easy to get around as InDrive worked well and no traffic congestion in the mornings. InDrive satellites not accurate for wait times and exact pick up location at times. Be prepared to add a message on exact pick up location. Super clean and very tidy city. Guest houses offer good rates and facilities to counter the pricey hotels. Great choice of restaurants around, especially at Grove Mall near my hotel. Colcacchio has an incredible view of the panoramic sunset skyline - beautiful. Their bar is also well stocked and great choice of wine. The Indian restaurant at Grove served great meals to go and at affordable prices.

Big modern hotel near the biggest shopping mall in Namibia (The Grove Mall, Windhoek city). Easy for find and from hotel can walk to shopping mall very easy and fast (3-5 min direct road). Room have comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Have elevator. In morning you can order breakfast from hotel in small restaurant near lobby (for additional fee).

The hotel is perfect, on a hill, kind off outside of Windhoek, but still inside. I travel in and out of the city every day. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I will go back. My room (26) had a private Entrance with a view on the mountains. Safe parking and excellent breakfast
