This was a beautiful home, renovated. It was spacious. It has 3 rooms, however only the room upstairs has an AC unit. The two rooms downstairs only have a ceiling fan. The weather is nice at night, so if it's windy it can be comfortable. It has a fridge, stove, microwave etc. We were provided with 4 water bottles in the fridge complementary which was nice. The greeting was nice and we felt at home. The area looks safe. Security guard at night on the block.

Good location, safe area . Nice balcony. Best coffee of my lifetime, available all day since early morning. Very nice and friendly people, who own the house . I felt like home .

What a wonderful experience! Stanley and all the staff were so attentive, kind and patient with our limited Spanish. Our room was wonderful. The location was perfect and the kitchen had everything however the room had an awful smell and the bathroom was very dirty.

Awesome stay, Gema made me feel very welcomed. The rooms and bathroom were clean and because it is on the top of the mountain, the weather is nice and fresh at night. It is a bit out of the ways as you have to climb a steep Hill for about fifteen minutes, but for relaxing, there is nothing like being away from the city. During my stay Gema was gracious and patient enough to help me practice my Spanish. On weekends they host different educational events such as English learning, bird watching, and learning about climate change to name a few. Really cool place, strongly recommend for anyone coming to Matagalpa!

We loved Casa Brenes! Wonderful location close to the cathedral. Great hospitality and delicious breakfast. Lovely rooms with fans. The best thing was the cozy big decks on the second and third floors overlooking the mountains, with egrets, parakeets and other birds flying by!
