IsraelThe landlord!!! Such a nice woman. We arrived late (after 9pm) after cross the border in the middle of a storm and she was waiting for, didn’t rush us to pay or do anything.
In the morning she didn’t ask for money after a tiny thing that wasn’t perfect in the room. Definitely the nicest person I’ve met in over 1 month of travel

The rooms are super clean, everything (shower, A/C, little fridge that we did not expect) worked perfectly and the breakfast was great.
The staff is exceptionally nice.
The pool is not huge, but cleaner and bigger than most we saw on our trip.

There is a very nice lady there that runs the show and she was so accommodating. She made us dinner one night. Did our laundry twice. We had to extend our stay twice with no issue. A bit of a walk from downtown, but always good exercise.

Leon is a pretty and interesting city.
Leon is a pretty and interesting city. We enjoyed a walking tour and the art museum was absolutely fantastic. We also really enjoyed doing a few trips from here - to the beach/mangroves at Las Penatas, and a volcano hike. We spent a week here which was a perfect amount of time for us, but we travel quite slowly!

Leo is a very visitor friendly city.
Leo is a very visitor friendly city. It is small enough that you can walk everywhere. Very friendly people and happy to help. Lots of culture as well as outdoor activities including beaches and volcano hikes and boarding nearby. My favorite place in Nicaragua.

I really see no reason to visit Leon, unless you have a specific purpose to go there as in business, or family. The place is like living in a furnace, and just doesn´t offer anything to make the stay worthwhile.

We found the one-way streets quite confusing for driving around…better to park and walk.
Power to the city went out for about one hour…only a few businesses actually had a back-up generator and/or candles but everyone seemed to take it in stride.

Beautiful, historic and young student city.
Beautiful, historic and young student city. Wish I stayed longer here! Museum of the Revolution explained the history and context of Leon so well, would highly recommend. Try some street food too like elote! The atmosphere is the city was the nicest in all of Nicaragua.

The old part of town is a quaint colonial place with a lot of restaurant options; I recommend the small food tour offered to see the market and learn about the different fruits and dishes. The location is perfect for a quick visit to the beaches that are less than 30 minutes away, you can catch a taxi easily there.

Great hotel right in the center of Leon. It is an old colonial style building with an inner garden where you eat breakfast in the morning. The staff was very attentive and made us welcome right from the beginning. Very tasty breakfast with French baguette and freshly brewed coffee.
Everything was exactly as seen in the pictures.
Parking is at the casino opposite the hotel.

Great location, right in the city centre. The kitchen is well equipped and the dormitory has AC during the night.
A pool table is available as well and you have the possibility to handwash your clothes by yourself upstairs.
The breakfast is very good and full of protein to get ready for the upcoming activities around León.
