Leon is a pretty and interesting city. We enjoyed a walking tour and the art museum was absolutely fantastic. We also really enjoyed doing a few trips from here - to the beach/mangroves at Las Penatas, and a volcano hike. We found the one-way streets quite confusing for driving...

Beautiful, historic and young student city.
Beautiful, historic and young student city. Wish I stayed longer here! Museum of the Revolution explained the history and context of Leon so well, would highly recommend. The old part of town is a quaint colonial place with a lot of restaurant options; I recommend the small food tour offered to see the market and learn about the different fruits and dishes. Very chilled and comfortable, tasteful and boutique style design, always spotless, breakfast is delicious and staff are very helpful. Lots of chill out areas & small gym onsite too. We extended our stay for 4 nights as loved it here. Felt like a taste of home.
