We arrived at the end of the busy season (April 1st) which was nice, but it was hot, water had dried up, and many of the "tours" were not worth the time or money. The people were great! The food was awesome! And we loved exploring the island on our scooter. Definitely recommend Cafe Campestre! The pasta was OUTSTANDING and the people were fantastic. You can just rent a bike and explore the island without moving to another location/hotel. I felt more comfortable staying in the main city, having an AC room (is very hot these days and you need that), in a quiet place with many restaurants around you that you can visit in the evening and explore new places every day.
