Set in the Archeon theme park, Archeon Middeleeuwse B&B provides an historical experience. The Pre-History, the Roman Age and the Middle Ages can be relived in the park. Very interesting activities in the theme park. Kids enjoyed a lot. Exploring the park during the night when the park is empty was good as well.
Set 2.4 km from Vogelpark Avifauna, Homestay Dutchable offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. I book this place for my mum, who doesn't speak Dutch or English. It wasn't a problem for people who work there. They cared about her and she was happy to stay there. I truly recommend this place with amazing staff. The room was cosy and nice, everything was perfect
Situated in Hazerswoude-Rijndijk, 28 km from The Hague, Lodges near the Rhine - Sustainable Residence features a garden and free WiFi. Saskia and Pieter are very nice and helpful people! These lodges have a very calming effect, and the beds were great! Also, the Wifi works pretty neat which was great for work :-)
Set in Ter Aar, 37 km from The Hague, Camping Welch offers a garden and free WiFi. A terrace with garden views is offered in all units. We were a touring band going through Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. This was by far our favourite venue. We booked it twice after the amazing experience the first time. On our off days we wanted to be out of the city and in a beautiful setting, that was Camp Welch. The manager was amazing, he saw that we were South African and put the heater on for us before arrival both times, due to our inexperience with the cold. On our last night in Netherlands and at Camp Welch we decided to have a "braai" (South African BBQ) , he provided us with his person grill, wood and some sausages. We invited him to eat with us and not only an amazing host but an amazing person. His hospitality really made for an unforgettable stay.
Wonderful people. I forgot one of my bags in a bus which contained valuables. I got to the hotel reception and noticed one of my bags was missing, The receptionist supported me a lot, drove me in his vehicle, tracked the bus for me and the gentleman helped find my bag. Wonderful people
it's out of the city but really beautiful. as i said it's really convenient if you have a plan to visit brussels too and most specially the price of the hotel is really cheap but the hotel is like 4 star hotel.
Only English speakers there, as a Dutch tourist destination. We were there visiting family who live in Alphen aan den Rijn. But language never a problem as students in restaurant wanted to practice their English.
It is a very lovely town and a good central location to visit all the other arrears in the Netherlands. The only problem is paying for parking in the UK wd do not have maestro cards and you need one to pay for parking or public transport.
the owner is very friendly & helpful, the room was clean, warm, with good wifi and hot water, very good mattress, the hotel is centrally located and easily found and there are shops and restaurants very close. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Spacious comfy rooms with double beds, and free parking. There is a Chinese buffet place below the hotel which has all you can eat and drink, and it tastes very very good. Coffee making facilities as well.
The free entrance to the bird park, which was really very beautiful. Location of the hotel was 1hr from any atraction. The family room was big and clean.
