A modern and clean hotel situated right next to the metro station with all of the amenities one might need. Make sure to try out their breakfast buffet, since the tiny pancakes they make every morning easily beat the ones in the city

Location is very good . Very close to metro and train stations. Hotel has a very unique building. The overall design is great. Rooms are big , designed well , have nearly all amenities that you may need. Beds are great with 3 pillow options. The only downside of the hotel is there is not enough restaurants within the hotel. Selva on the top floor is always busy and need reservation. Other than Selva , there is only one restaurant on first floor with mostly snacks in their menu. We were planning to stay and have dinner at the hotel on our last night , but we didnt made any reservation to Selva . We ended up eating our dinner on nearby restaurant in the neighberhood since we want to eat a proper dinner and not burgers and fries. Other than the lack of outlets in the hotel everything is close to perfect. Nhow was one the best hotel in our 1 month europe trip , even better than some 5 star chain hotels.

A very beautiful boutique hotel, perfect location for people arriving in Amsterdam Centraal. The staff was so helpful, they manage to order warm food and have it delivered to our room at no extra cost. Room was spacious even for our standard, plenty space in bathroom as well. At our age we are not into the drug culture and found the marijuana overpowering everywhere we walked. There are too many bicycles on the footpaths for aging pedestrians to avoid. The art and architecture were the treats of the trip. Jordaan was full of eateries of the world. Yummy!!!

I love the array of things to do and that it isn't completely labyrinthine, like some other European cities, so it's easy to get about on foot. I also love the infrastructure; trams, buses and trains are all cheap and accessible. We mostly used the tram for convenience. We loved the De Pijp area and will stay here next time we come to visit. Such a wonderful shopping area, with really interesting things to buy instead of the usual old toot aimed at tourists. The Albert Cuyp market is wonderful if you want to try foods from all over the world; I had Mexican tacos, Colombian arepas, a French macaron and Japanese takoyaki all on this one street. Really, it's the kind of place that has you questioning whether or not to sell your house and move there! The only bad things about Amsterdam are the cyclists, who often do not stop on pedestrian crossing areas. I used them religiously because I took a pram for my young baby. They just careen about with no care for others. Mopeds and other small vehicles are also permitted in the bike lanes so be careful when you cross them.

    Lets face it.

Lets face it. It's late summer and you're STILL still sweltering in the heat and humidity of east Texas. Still sucking down car exhaust. But there is a quick fix: in 9 hours you and your sweetie can enjoy the cool breezes and occasional rain of off season Amsterdam. This is the best time to visit. Trade those pickup trucks for bicycles and road rage for Dutch tolerance. For breakfast, on your way to the incredible Van Gogh musem, stop by Koffiesalon on Spuistrasse. For Lunch as you're wandering around the canals and wishing you had saved enough to buy a flat in the Jordaan, do not miss the New Dutch Amsterdam restaurant. Yes, you do want the Korean Giggling Cat. Skip dinner. You'e going to need to offset all those Stroopwaffels with a lot of walking. So, for your health, best head towards the red light district. Try some <redacted>, then watch the <also redacted> at Casa Rosso. Have a set at any bar and just chill for 6 hours. Your sweetie will be very impressed to know that the canals are a meter of water, a meter of bicycles, and a meter of mud. As you're taking the train back to Schipol, keep in mind, a flat in Amsterdam-Zuid is cheaper than a small house in Dallas. Ask yourself if you really, really like the heat.

We had a 5 day break in Amsterdam which was about adequate to visit the main sights. The Van Gogh museum was a must, well laid out but some of the famous works are in other galleries overseas. The Rijksmuseum was vast, with many familiar works. We spent 5 hours there and didn’t see it all. We began our visit with a canal cruise which helped get an overall view of the city and its attractions. Travellers need to watch out for cyclists when crossing roads. The tram system allows easy travel within the city. However, Amsterdam is very flat so easy to explore on foot. The city is busy but feels safe for travellers.

Lots to see and do! Anne Franks House is a must. An open top river cruise was also fab. So many places to eat and drink, too many to mention. But, come out of the Singel Hotel and turn left. Take the first left and there is a tiny pizza restaurant on the right! That was amazing

I stayed at Joy Hotel in Amsterdam from 1st to 3rd August. The hotel is conveniently located close to public transport, which makes it easy to reach the city centre and main attractions. There are also some shops and restaurants nearby, which was practical. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and basic amenities suitable for a short stay. Air conditioning worked well, which was very helpful during the summer. Check-in was straightforward, and staff were polite and efficient.

Amsterdam is just expensive, but its one of those city's people love to visit. The hotel is good, its quite a way from the center, but the trams run well, probably 40-60 minute total from hotel to city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful, probably the stars of the show, otherwise its just a standard chain hotel relatively well priced considering where it is.

The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be near the city centre (5-mins with the train) but not be in the busy areas of Amsterdam. The staff is very pleasant and provided help the moment we asked them. The room was quite spacious for 2 people and the bed was also big.
