There are very good restaurants and pubs in Breda, friendly people everywhere. Nothing and nobody disturbs you ever! We visited close friends, so it was a holiday trip but not for sight- seeing. Breda itself has not much to offer, it is a mid-size town with a pedestrian zone in the center but no real highlights. Apart from the usual shops there are some nice restaurants and bars, but you have to know them. Compared to Amsterdam f.e. it lacks all the tourist attraction, so no canals or coffee shops. a bit plain, typical dutch.

Nice pups and restaurants. Easy shopping, good quality shops. Rent a hotel in the centre or rent a car. No trams in the city, like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hotels in the city can be expensive, just because they are in the city. But not necessarily good.

It has a very small cozy city center but, depending on what you like, it has enough entertainment. I took the tour in the cathedral and went up to the tower. Walked around the city center, went to the park, stond on the "Hoge Brug"... You can visit the begijnenhof and go to a couple of more museums. Rooms where nice with big windows looking out over the plaza and town. Good bathroom with a nice shower. Friendly and helpfull staff. Free welcome drink. In the center of town so you can just stroll out the door and walk everywhere. The hotel doesn't have parking but there is a public open-air car park quite close and the prices for all day / over night parking are reasonable.
