Everything was perfect. The location, in central West-Terschelling, 5 minutes from the ferry terminal, was ideal. Fabulous restaurants nearby with fish and "vruchten van de zee". Come with, on the ferry, or hire a bike at the hotel.

Loved the location as it was a short distance from the dock and near all the stores and restaurants. Really great breakfast bar with fresh bread. Staff was very friendly and made my stay so much better. Really big shower and a very clean room.

We were here for one night only with 10 colleagues. Julia at the reception was very friendly and helpful, they even let us sit in the breakfast room in the evening to have some privacy and play our own music, very thankful for that. Rooms were simple but enough for night. Shared bathrooms very clean and ok. We also had dinner here and that was also nice.

Exceptionally good value. The hostel sits right on the edge of the West-Terscheling settlement. It is feasible to go on foot to/from the ferry. The view from the large shared bedrooms is onto the wadden sea. You'll be able to see tides come and go no matter the weather. The included breakfast is really good as well.

    We visited the areas on the island where grandparents were...

    We visited the areas on the island where grandparents were born, lived and died. We enjoyed Midsland so much and West Terschelling as well. We didn't have time to visit other areas as were only there for two short days! It was a two day visit in our 12 day travel. Our two days on Terschelling were the highlight of our trip. (We really enjoyed the ferry each way as well! We got to see the sunset on our trip to the island and the sunrise on our return trip to the mainland. We would highly recommend a visit to all of the island. We hope to return!

    Beautiful beaches, offering deep water horse riding,surfing,all kinds of bootcamps. Neat clean beaches,dogs allowed. But you need a bike,you’ll drive 4,3km to Midsland where you find 2-3 shops,grocery store + nice restaurants or bars. Or you ride back to Terschelling where the ferry doks.you’ll find a beautiful bigger village:shops,bars,restaurants,hop on a boat to see Seagulls in their natural surroundings. It was amazing.There’s no other restaurant in West am Zee.

    West aan Zee is a great place to spend some quality time.

    West aan Zee is a great place to spend some quality time. Especially before and after the summer season. In-season it tends to become a bit crowded. Terschelling is one of the most beautiful Dutch islands and West aan Zee is just one of the great beaches that can be found there. Must sees are the "Koffiemolen", an old windmill where you can drink great coffees and eat nice "cranberry" pastries and of course the beautiful lighthouse "Brandaris" in the West Terschelling village. Don't forget to drink a great cocktail at Flaman, the cafe-restaurant at ons the Brandaris square.

    We got a nice family room with two floors including 2 balconies (one with sea view). The living room was very large so also with poor weather you can enjoy the stay at this hotel. The dunes and the beach are just in front of the hotel Very friendly staff Very quiet at night Public parking 100m away Very good breakfast (only missing the "on demand" prepared eggs e.g. omelette, fried eggs)

    Staff was very welcoming and check-in was a breeze. The hotel is located right at the beach and easy to reach by bicycle, car or bus from the harbour. The room, communal areas (including the pool / spa) were all very clean and the room included coffee+tea. The hotel restaurant provides some great dinner options in a very nice, comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

    An ideal location for those who seek peace, quiet and enjoy communing with nature. The hotel is located in the middle of the dunes right at the entrance to the beach. Parking 100 m from the hotel. Dog-friendly place. The dog was welcomed with bowls and mattress. It was so kind surprise. Thank you
