The Russian Tzar House is a must visit. It is the oldest house in Netherlands, preserved in very good conditions. You will learn a lot. The Zaan Museum also. The Zaanse Schans it is for one whole day or two days visit. A lot of museums. It is very nice. And if it is good wind you are going to smell only chocolate in the air. The bakery just in front of the bridge is having the most delicious patisserie. The restaurants around have great food, nice personnel.

I stayed in Zaandam to get out of the tourist hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. I liked it's proximity to the train connections which were close by and easy to use. It was nice to see another part of Amsterdam. The shopping areas and cafes / restaurants in Zaandam were really good.

There's a lovely canal with shops & restaurants on either side. You have a choice of fast food, healthier options or traditional Dutch dishes. The area is quiet at night, when the day trippers have left. It's a pretty town with interesting architectural styles. It was my first visit & I will be back. It's easy to travel by train to Amsterdam & other destinations & trains are fairly frequent. My hotel was within easy walking distance of the station & the shops mentioned above. The Albert Heijn supermarket is open 7 days a week until 10pm.

Visit the windmills, go to a restaurant, travel to Amsterdam or the beach. All these are easy to do from here with a car and Amsterdam is easy with public transport. Lots of lovely canals and things to photograph.

This hotel is great if you travel by car, if you are travel for a company and so on but not that good if you are coming by foot, bus ore taxi. Except for the restaurant in the hotel there is no pubs ore nothing to do in the neighborhood, you have to walk to the busstation. The hotel is next to a little area with threes where you can take some walks and that's it
Very close to Zaandam train station (less than 5 minutes ' walk).
Train takes 12 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal.
Trains every 10 minutes until around midnight.
Supermarket 2 minutes' walk away.
Cinema & local eat-in food places very near.
Ten minute walk to local bars.
Floors 8 - 11 are the hotel. Many & speedy lifts to floors.
Great views.
Great that room is not cleaned during stay, so can lie in if wanted.
TV with decent selection of Dutch & English channels.
Shower was great.
The staff were extremely welcoming and happy to help whenever we had questions. They were extremely polite and always smiled and greeted us whenever we were leaving and coming back. The location was extremely easy to get to by bus although we had to get a Amsterdam and Region travel ticket as it is outside of the inner city area in Zaandam. However, the bus comes quite frequently and is an extremely quick trip to the hotel- especially Zaanse Schans!!
The staff, notably Kelly was wonderful and hospitability during my stay. She was quite funny too. For the last minute booking, the price and hotel amenities were excellent! I also really appreciated the all you can eat continental breakfast the hotel provided for a reasonable 9 euros. The breakfast consisted of various spreads, pastries, bread, boiled egg, cereal, juices, coffee, teas and slice meats. I'm very happy with my stay at B&B Zaandam.
Zaandam station is just 2 stops away from Amsterdam Central station. Hotel is just right outside the station and its really convenient. Primark and mc donalds are also next to hotel along with other food places to eat. Be sure to check out Zaanse Schans for it is also 2 stops away from Zaandam station. Room was comfortable and bed was a tad soft but still good.
Everything was perfect about this hotel especially for the value. Zaandam is such a nice cute little place. You are a 10 min walk from Zaandam station then 10 min train into central Amsterdam and tickets are dirt cheap too. Hotel was clean, the bed was super comfy, staff were always on hand to help and there was free hot drinks in the lounge! Highly recommend
Excelent location in Zaandam. The train station is also very close (to get to the airport, Amsterdam, or other places in the Netherlands), and there are a few very nice stores, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. For a short stay, a pretty good place for decent price, though do not expect too many facilities. The view from the hotel was excellent.
Easy check-in. Fast lifts to 11th floor. Great views - could I really see the EuroTower in Rotterdam?!
5 minutes walk to Zaandam train station which is 11 minutes' ride to Amsterdam Centraal.
Bars in Zandaam open til 5am Wed - Sun and are 12 minutes' walk from hotel.
I liked the wooden, reusable / recyclable key cards! Well done.
Wonderful stay at this hotel. Will book again. I've been upgrated so had a sauna in the bedroom.
I would recommand to go there, easy access to go to Amsterdam by train (12min) and it's only 4 euros one way.
Car park just 2 min walking distance from the hotel.
Wellness very nice with swimming pool and fitness room
The staff was very kind and professional. The location was awesome. There were a lot of bars and restaurants nearby that we could walk to. The train station was our main use of transportation and it helped that it was close to the hotel especially after a long day of walking.
Much cheaper alternative than staying in Amsterdam, Zaandam is quite a nice town and only 2 stops on the train from central Amsterdam. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Hotel is next to some nice cafes and restaurants and a nice shopping centre.
Beds are very comfy and the room is lovely with good shower pressure and black out curtains. I’ve stayed here before and was excited for the comfort of the beds.
The location is very close to the Zaandam station so easy to get into Amsterdam.
Wifi is good
The hotel is in a good location, Zaandam has lots of shops and restaurants and the train is super close to take you into Amsterdam central.
The beds were not comfortable and the pillows were shocking
Perfect place for stay, clean and comfortable, the staff were so nice and helpful
20min away from the center of Amsterdam and the center down the hotel is so beautiful
Easy to found out for good hotel is golden zaan. They are having wonderful bed and rick breakfast. The most beautiful was the rooftop pool. High recommend!!
