We liked everything about this property. The location and view was amazing, it was clean and very spacious. It had a balcony overlooking the river. The owners personally welcomed us and showed us to the property, they were kind. We would definitely come back some time.

    Wonderful location to celebrate holidays through out the year . Fjords and hike added extra value to the journey . There is a lot to do and view at the place . There is a small supermarket called coop next to the flam station which is helpful to buy necessary items . There are 2 coffee shops at the bus station at Flam . I would not depend on restaurants at Aurland . Flam is only 15 minutes away by car from Aurland, so , it will be a better idea to have food or buy food stuff from Flam ,especially because restaurants are closed after 5-6 in the evening at Aurland in Winter . They say, restaurants are open for longer time during summer . Only problem is public transport . There is not enough public transport facility between Flam and Aurland ,so we had to rely on local taxi services . Lokaltaxi (the name of the taxi service ) was really helpful.

    Great location with a fantastic view on the fjord, away from the hustle and bustle of Flam, however, can be slightly tricky to get around, although you just need to book onto the shuttle bus for a small fee in reality, so it's not that big of a deal.

    Aurland is a small village situated in a beautiful fjord environment sorrounded by dramatic landscape. Flaam and Stegastein Viewpoint are in the vicinity of Aurland. The best way to see the fjord landscape is from above. Spectacular scenary.

    Aurland was super pretty.

    Aurland was super pretty. Definitely happy then we didn't stay at Flam, the view and town was amazing. There is a fun steep hike to take with a nice cottage along the way. Even though the weather was pretty rainy, we enjoy our stay with a cozy atmospheric mood. Only difficulty was the bus ride from Flam to Aurland, because we weren't sure from where the bus is going and then it came late, so that was a bit stressful. Also we definitely recommend the little Flam bakeri with delicious cinnamon buns!

    Beautiful and loved staying here. Cute town and lots nearby. If you have a car it's so easy to drive between towns and various hiking spots. If you don't you can catch buses or the ferries to get to and from flam. I didn't find this hard in high season with the ferries but the buses were a bit confusing. They seem to run until 7 or so be careful not to miss it. .there's a grocery store that's well equipped, a great bakery and pretty much all you need for a quiet stay.

    Spectacular location! We were here for two nights and hiked up to the Stegastein platform, had a lovely floating sauna and went on a fjord boat tour- all from Aurland. The Gastropub in Aurland has terrific food and the bakery in town is wonderful. So glad we stayed here instead of Flam! The apartment was roomy, clean with a fully equipped kitchen. The views were amazing! We rented a car from the owners to get around- super affordable compared to the taxi service, which was crazy expensive. Highly recommend!

    The flat is great: large, beautifully decorated and homely. The view into the fjords is amazing, a waterfall right on your sight line from the couch! Kitchen is well equipped, we cooked at home. The bathroom is large and comfortable, washing machine and dryer are a great bonus traveling with a baby! We also used the bikes, they are good, too. The flat is situated a bit outside of Aurland but the walk into the town is short. We did some hikes without getting into the car at all.

    Wangen Apartments are well appointed, in a great location in Aurland, a short ferry or bus ride from Flam, but without the cruise ships obscuring the views of Flam. It’s a serene village with nice walks , a little gastro pub across the road and a helpful Spar supermarket. The apartment has wonderful views on the water side and is quiet and has a spacious bathroom. Thoroughly wonderful stay!

    We loved our stay at Vangsgaarden hotel / guesthouse! The view to the Aurlandsfjord was stunning, the bed and the bedding were comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. We liked the breakfast too, it was quite basic, but tasty and satisfying.
