This was our first night when we arrived in Norway during our 2000km road trip. Having never driven on the right side of the road and our late arrival the hotel was extremely welcoming. The location is stunning and well worth the drive. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. the hotel is set in its own grounds that are extremely well kept with lovely walks. Breakfast was fantastic. When we arrived it was quite late on however the waitress was extremely helpful, serving us up some really good cocktails and a charcuterie board at 9/9:30 pm and it was just what we needed after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately we missed dinner due to hire car issues which I would have loved to of tried judging by the charcuterie board and breakfast. The spa was exceptional! every bit of it from the peacefulness to the decor and cleanliness and probably the best spa we have ever visited. On checking out the staff were very helpful as we had some questions about tolls and ferries. We were also given some little cakes to take away. Would highly recommend a stay here for relaxation and we will probably return for a long weekend from Scotland at some point in the near future.

Our family had an experience that felt like happy sailors on shore leave in this historic hotel full of old-world charm! The location is perfect—right in the center for all your adventures, yet so peaceful it feels like a little hidden oasis. The services are fantastic: breakfast and dinner buffets so abundant we’re still not sure we managed to taste everything! The dining room is amazing, with the atmosphere of a real 1800s fishing boat—all that was missing were some nets on the walls and the cry of seagulls. The tea room by the entrance is so inviting you’ll find yourself tempted to have a snack at any hour. A big thank you to the blonde lady (the captain herself?) who welcomed us with a brilliant smile, and to all the “men of the sea” in the kitchen, always ready to feed us with great enthusiasm. At the end, we even discovered a well-equipped gym with Technogym machines and a sauna… so after eating like pirates, we could at least pretend to feel sporty (for about five minutes!).

hotel very close to the airport, we arrived late in the evening and there was staff at the reception waiting for us. Comfortable rooms (for the hairdryer ask at the reception) and breakfast from sweet to savory really large and delicious. positive note is the kindness of the staff. The lady at the reception helped us with the taxi reservation (departure with flight at 6 - the lady advised us to go to the airport only an hour before because it is a small airport and opens late, also the check in and boarding are very fast). and helped us with useful information. You can get there by bus 176 (Fokserød stop) which is right in front of the hotel (as soon as you get off the bus you see the sign). Nearby there is a petrol station open at night with food and drinks and a mac donalds). At the same stop stops the bus from Oslo busstatjon. Excellent place for those traveling on torp.
