It had a heated floor in the bathroom. The staff were so kind. The surroundings of the hotel, were Great with River flowing under a Bridge. And a Small drive to a nearby Snowy mountain where we had a lotta fun in the Snow. The staff was so kind, smart and I must say Great enough to message us early the day we had to check in letting us know that Route 63 was closed because of snow and what exactly we will have to do and which place we will have to go to take a ferry to reach them. This was really so nice and kind of them, if not for their message, we would never reach the hotel on time or never be able to check in that day for sure. Really they have gone out of their by sending us that message. They didn’t have to do that. No Hotel needs to be concerned, about how their customers are going to reach them. The Dinner at the Restaurant was Good n Sufficient.

The most beautiful place in Norway, till now.

The most beautiful place in Norway, till now. Take the fjord cruise, more important, take a panoramic tour to the Eagle bend and a few other view points, the fjord looks more beautiful from the hill.

Spectacularly beautiful location with a variety of activities to engage and appreciate the surrounding natural beauty. A smorgasbord of walks with majestic views of the fjord and surrounding mountains to cater for all abilities. A ferry ride on the fjiord and a kayaking trip gave a water view perspective of the sheer cliff edges and numerous waterfalls. Byserk Burgers was a great spot to refuel after a solid walk.

Beautiful views, fjords information centre and park right behind hotel and gorgeous waterfall nearby. Pool area looked clean ( has 2). W Breakfast included was a bonus. Very peaceful and relaxing. Did not feel crowded at all with huge lounge areas.

It's a beautiful fjord, but because of that also very touristy and busy. There'll be a cruise ship coming in every other day filled to the brim with people that will flood out the town and surrounding hiking trails. I'd suggest a 1-2 day visit here to see the area and the nature and then maybe move a bit further in Mørre og Romsdal to experience the nature and surroundings without all the tourists.

It was nice to stay two nights in Geiranger.

It was nice to stay two nights in Geiranger. The natural beauty of the place was so calming for the soul. We booked a RIB tour of the fjord and a private 4 hour car hire to explore the hair pin turns and views of the fjord. We were lucky to have the day to ourselves without cruise ships in port. They crowds definitely take away from the peace and quiet and the sublime beauty of the place

The location goes without question as the best in Geiringer, the hotel itself had great facilities, including the Spa. The room was good, the Al la Carte restaurant excellent and the food also good. The reception was excellent and very understanding when we told them that our two night stay could now only be one as we needed to get home. They reduced the price without us even asking. Car parking was plentiful and free. Nothing was too much trouble, and the surrounding walk down the waterfall was excellent

Nothing ! Instead of getting the accommodation we were expecting we got a place with no view, some garbage, no space in the rooms. In fact we discovered we were not in the Fossen accommodation but in another poor quality flat close to the flats used by the personnel of the Union Hotel ! The attached photo shows the view from the flat quite different from the booking photo and the garbage when we arrived !

The hotel was in the center of Geiranger, so everything was easy to reach, like the ferry. Breakfast was very good. Not so convenient was parking. There are not so many parking spots around and you have to pay extra.
