Hønefoss is my town where I grew up..I reurned now to meet friends from school and others..Grand Hotel was the main town hotel when I grew up in the 60 and 70 ties...The town has got quite new and fine meeting places in the centre prepared now for people,and no car trsffic..And Grand hotel has been upgraded to a good standard...

Nice service, the hotel has the impression of being old and worn. The patio downstairs at the exit is not maintained. Could have been swept and cleaned and perhaps decorated a little better, which would have contributed to a better well-being.

Hønefoss is a cozy town, with what you need: Shopping center, various places to eat, good communication to Oslo by bus, train, there is supposed to be a beach in the town, but this has not been tested. Short distance to Hadeland Glassverk and Kistefoss Museum, among others.

The city of Honfoss is small and beautiful.
The city of Honfoss is small and beautiful. It is located near the Grand Honfoss Hotel in the city center. There is a small mall with a supermarket, as well as shops selling mobile phone accessories. There is also a mobile phone repair shop owned by an Iraqi man named Muhammad, who is extremely polite and well-mannered. I advise everyone to deal with him for the sake of God. I only stayed in the city for one day, as I made it a rest stop on my way to Voss.

Great value for money. Large family room. Comfortable beds. Outdoor pool available. Excellent and tasty breakfast. Free parking in front of the hotel. Friendly staff.
A great place to continue further north in Norway with a stop in Oslo.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The view was superb. Dinner was very good-- something I did not expect from a hotel in Norway ;).
The hotel also offers free charging of electric cars at their parking.
