Located in an historical building between Tromsø and Alta, Solhov, Castle of the Lyngen Alps features a restaurant, shared lounge, a garden and private beach area in Lyngseidet. Impressive building. Free use of kitchen. Advice from staff on where to buy supplies, ferry times, and an introduction to the building. Interesting building history.
House in the heart of the Lyngen Alps with Best view is located in Lyngseidet and offers a private beach area, ski-to-door access and barbecue facilities. Such a comfortable place. It had all the amenities we needed. Beautifully decorated and spacious. The best part was the views and privacy. We really felt that we found a Nordic paradise! Tommy was a great host, we felt welcomed. Bought delicious fish from his dad at reasonable rates. Such a perfect stay!
Located in Lyngseidet village by the Lyngenfjord, this inn offers an in-house restaurant, bar and free WiFi access. Tromsø city center is 47 mi away. Ola is a fine host. Very friedly and keen to give his guests a great experience. Very good value for money. Good breakfast and dinners prepared with fresh produce (we experienced none of the horrors described by the clearly disgruntled EX staff member.
Located in Lyngseidet in the Troms og Finnmark region, Lyngen, Mackay appartment, Lyngen has a patio and lake views. This self-catered apartment features a garden and free private parking. The pictures are very representative of the apartment. The kitchen is well-equipped and with a higher standard than for apartments in the same price range. I had the feeling that the hosts enjoyed having a vacation apartment, the apartment was decorated the same way you would a home, and there were many nice little details. It's perfect for a spontanous vacation where you don't want to bring your won toilet paper, bottle opener, towel, and such things. The apartment is reachable with public transportration and you can walk to the nearest super market.
Offering free WiFi, Aurora View Cabin is located on the beachfront in Lyngseidet. The property has lake views and is 18 miles from Storslett. Such a lovely cabin! Excellent views of the fjord, the gorgeous sunset, the northern lights! Super cozy and warm inside the house. Nice, healthy walk uphill from the parking spot (if you have 4x4 you can pull right up) and very helpful hosts.
Solbakken 27 Apartment is located in Lyngseidet and offers ski-to-door access and a terrace. The hosts are very kind. If you ask them some questions, they will answer very soon. Well furnished house with spectacular view. I would choose this place while I come to Lyngseidet again.
Lyngseidet is an amazing place, lovely people and relaxing place. We stayed there for Christmas and it was amazing. Tommy gave us a gift and was very nice to tell us what we could do at a time of year where nothing is open. The house the location where stunning. What would have been a cherry on the cake was if we could have seen the Northern lights, which was not possible because of bad weather. Other than that we had a blast rolling around in the snow and enjoying the cold weather.
Perfect place to calm down and refresh contact with the nature. Lot of mountain trails of each difficulty start in Lyngseidet. You can eat delicious breakfasts and dinners in Magic Mountain Lodge but there are also two big grocery stores. We didn’t need to eat elsewhere. There is a direct bus no. 150 from Tromsø but be sure there is one on your day of arrival. In this case it’s very helpful an app TFT Mobilett where you can check a timetable and buy the ticket direct by getting on the bus (the validity of the ticket starts from the moment of purchase and lasts about 2 hours).
The host was very flexible and helpful. This house is in the perfect spot for seeing the northern lights. You have all the necessary facilities for cooking and washing the laundry so it's perfect even for longer stays. Lyngseidet is near enough for shopping groceries. The store is open until 23 so you have plenty of time to shop your food when you come back from your day-long roadtrip. Overall we think that this house offers great value and is located in one of the best spots in this area.
This is certainly no run of the mill hotel, it’s a unique experience. We were welcomed by the owner and she gave us an elaborate tour of the building and it’s history, which was very much appreciated by us. The building is amazing. The room was beautiful, and there were lots of shared spaces we could use: a huge communal kitchen, a sitting room and much more. We had a private bathroom on the hallway. The area is amazing. We did two hikes in the Lyngen Alps.
Cozy and functional cabin in a beautiful place. if the weather is clear, you can see the Northern lights straight from the cabin. The main road from Lyngseidet had been partly fixed, so it was quite quick ride from the village to the cabin.
The hosts are very kind. If you ask them some questions, they will answer very soon. Well furnished house with spectacular view. I would choose this place while I come to Lyngseidet again.
View from the rooms is awesome! Hotel is cozy and the staff very friendly. Food was tasty. We recommend!
