The cabin was ideally located - only a few miles from town and groceries, just down the road from the Viking museum, and an easy day trip to a number of beautiful hikes. There was ample space for a party of 6 people - we were one couple and four singles and there was a room for each, which was perfect.

Everything about this place was wonderful. The views, the furnishings, the beds, the location. We stayed for 6 days, we cooked, traveled and slept. It was the best place we stayed in Norway.

I rarely give 10 score for hostels but this hostel really got me happy. I love the vibes despite not having so many guests during my stay (off-season). The place is very very very very very cozy!!!! Even the bathroom is cozy lol The reception guy let me check in 2hrs earlier - which was very nice. The door only has a code so you dont have to bring keys. Also, free coffee!!!! I will check in here again when i come back to Lofoten.

It is a very cozy cabin, perfect for a family or a smaller group. We stayed one night only because of a kayak program nearby, but we would definetely go back next time we are on Lofoten. Checking in was easy, exactly as the host said. The view to the mountains is magnificent. The house was clean and felt warm. The kitchen is fully equipped, oven and dishwasher is available.

    Straum was perfect for all travellers who DO NOT to live at...

    Straum was perfect for all travellers who DO NOT to live at the Main Road. That's important because there is quite a traffic on these. Her your in a dead-end road, just some typical norwegian houses and the view over the arctic sea an in the extraordinary landscape. What makes the place even more special is the fact that there is an archipelago with hundred little islands an rocks in the first part of the sea, which you can reach with a boat; we did picnics overthere and saw spectacular sunsets. Though it is a remote place you're within 20 minutes in the lively city of Lefkes. And in the middle of all the natural sights of the Lofoten.
